I'm extremely fascinated by computers, exploring a vast digital universe where I can solve

problems and understand the technology that shapes our world. I see a job of discovery and
innovation that gives me a clear purpose to pursue it. I really never got the opportunity to have
an electronic gadget until the COVID-19 pandemic pushed everyone into the digital universe,
where screens became our new classrooms. Nevertheless, my father realized how education
was changing and decided to buy me a laptop. I was in my ninth year at the time and was
exploring the fascinating world of computers for the first time. This sparked a real interest in me,
and from then on, an exciting journey of exploration began!
I found coding to be one of the most exciting aspects of computer engineering. Whether it's a
simple script or a complex app, there is a thrilling experience when you successfully create
something that actually works. My journey into this field began in high school when I was
introduced to Python, my first programming language!
There's a lot of stuff that I find fascinating about computer science. I am not limited to just one
aspect. I have also learned the front-end aspects of web development. I have also explored
topics about data structure, algorithms, computer networking, and MySQL databases.
A few months ago, I got into the underrated world of cybersecurity when I accidentally started
watching documentaries about cybercrime on YouTube. Discovering the risks on the digital
platform was surprising. Despite advancements in computer systems, safety remains a critical
issue. The widespread use of computers in business has fueled a surge in cyberterrorism and
cybercrime, particularly hacking, making cybersecurity a major need to solve such issues. This
eventually got me more interested and got me involved in learning more about this field during
my summer vacations.
The use of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols were topics that I
dived into.
Besides computers, math was another favorite subject of mine, especially topics like calculus,
algebra, and geometry, which also played a key factor in deciding my career to pursue computer
science. My proficiency for problem-solving has allowed me to excel in these areas, making
them particularly enjoyable aspects of my academic journey.
As hobbies, I love going on solo trips, calm long drives, biking with friends exploring nature's
beauty. Cooking is another passion of mine, and of course eating. I love playing basketball,
making cinematographic and photographic content, specifically on nature, watching horror and
cybercrime documentaries which not only entertains me but also helps me keep updated on
latest happenings around the world, reading books that mostly involve character development,
life lessons and entrepreneurship skills, last but not least, learning new skills, irrespective of the
field.
Growing up in a South Asian household which kept academics as a top priority and considering
extracurricular activities as a potential hindrance to academic success. Even though it was the
case, I didn't step back. It was bit hard but I somehow got indulged in the community of editors
during the post-pandemic times, and after almost four months of mastering it, I and my friend
started an editing agency, where we have assisted more than six companies and four individual
creators in skyrocketing their audience growth and business. I have also volunteered to train
kids at the local basketball gym and served as the lead editor of my school's magazine for two
years.
I have always aspired to pursue my studies in the UK. The charm of the country's beautiful
geographical landscapes further intrigues me to dive into a new culture and explore new ways
of thinking. I believe that my skills and achievements make me a great candidate for your
university. I hope to embark on a fulfilling journey in the field of cybersecurity, bringing me one
step closer to realizing my dream.
