Digital marketing plan

You are to create a digital marketing plan and you are to do this assignment
individually. Most digital marketers usually create marketing plans for a
product or service which is easier to sell. This assignment you will not be
creating a marketing plan for a product or service, you will be creating a
digital marketing plan for a social cause/awareness. You will have the choice
of a cause which you desire. You can choose any social cause such as
fighting poverty, bullying prevention, civil rights, homelessness, LGBT+. Your
marketing plan will need to promote your cause, educate and design a plan
around fundraising for the cause through online platforms.

Instructions:

You are required to pick a cause and create a digital marketing plan. Within
that report you are to explain your strategy with justifications and examples.
Think of yourself preparing a marketing proposal.

Report

Cover page: name, student number, professor name, course code, date

Introduction: Provide summary of your social cause. Write about the history,
why it is an issue, and current state of the cause. No more than 1.5 pages

Marketing strategy:

• In this section of your report, you will explain your marketing strategy
with justification
• You will likely have more than one strategy
• You will need to explain how you will promote the cause online
• You will need to explain how you will educate people about the cause
online with examples
• You will need to explain how you will generate donations online with
examples.
• Examples are, ad designs, explanation of which platforms you will use
to promote. This part you can be creative as you want. You can create
website template showing content you will use
• You are required to apply course materials into your report and do not
write this report in essay format. This isn’t an essay You can use words
like “I recommend or its recommended that” you can use 3rd person
or 1st person voice when writing report. Your report is to persuade
your company why your digital marketing plan will be able to achieve
the desired results.
• Explain the control and feedback mechanism of your digital marketing
plan
• Apply concepts from the course for example, social media strategy,
customer experience, content marketing, paid advertising, mobile
marketing, conversion etc.
• The report should be no more than 10 pages excluding cover page and
appendix
• Report outline: Cover page, introduction, marketing strategy, control
and feedback

Grading scheme: 100 marks

• Did the student provide good overview of the cause 10 marks


• Did the overall digital marketing plan achieve the desirable results
( promotion of cause, education and donation) 20 marks
• Did the digital marketing plan provide examples and well explained 20
marks
• Did the student apply concepts from the course materials 30 marks
• Was the control and feedback plan explain well 10 marks
• Was the report well written ( spelling/grammar, business writing) 10
marks
