This lesson plan is for a 2nd grade reading class about traveling around the world. Students will get "plane tickets" and passports before watching safety and country videos. They will then write the name of a country they want to visit. The teacher will read the book "A Ticket Around the World" aloud and ask questions about who, what, where, when, how and why to demonstrate understanding. Students will then work in centers answering different types of questions or writing their own about the book.
