I.

TOPIC: Learn about each season and the differences between the living environment
they provide

II. OBJECTIVES:
After instruction reviewing the 4 seasons TSWBAT identify the different characteristics and
environments of each season. Given a Google Form, student will be able to identify the season
by its characteristic with 90% accuracy.

Standard - 4.1.K.E: Describe the seasons and describe how the change of the season affects
living things.

III. TEACHING PROCEDURES:


1. Anticipatory Set:
a. Students will be called to the carpet space and using poster paper we will record what
we remember about each season from the video. Students will raise their hand to offer
answers.
2. Development I:
a. Students will be put in groups with their table groups. Students will be given the
“Matching Seasons” activity. They will be asked to cut out the 25 pictures and place
them in the season they think it belongs to. Students who finish early may complete a
season’s theme coloring sheet.
b. When all students complete the activity, I will project the activity onto the board, we will
go over the activity. I will ask the class item by item where each picture belongs, having
them raise their hand to suggest a response. This allows students to check their answers
while they follow along.
3. Development II:

4. Development III:
a. Materials for the seasons themed craft will be distributed. Students will be given the
bare tree worksheet and will be asked to color the tree displaying one of the seasons
discussed during the lesson. They may use any coloring tools available in the classroom
space. Sample projects will be shown to the class to promote creativity.
5. Closure:
a. Students will be asked to complete the Google Form

IV. MATERIALS:
• Poster Paper
• Coloring Materials (markers, crayons, etc.)
• “Matching Seasons” Worksheet
• Scissors
• Coloring Sheets
• Projector

V. EVALUATION
a. Formative Assessment: Background Probe, Group work will not be graded but rather reviewed as
a whole class.
b. Summative Assessment: Lesson Materials will lead to the Google Form that students will be
asked to complete.
