Overall the lesson is inclusion of technology that involves using a SmartBoard/Kahut program

and a fitness one video that is available on the YouTube platform. The video is an in-depth
lesson that combines music and dance along with fundamental locomotor skills for students to
participate in. Due to limited class time with older students due to testing, I had to select a
younger group for my lesson. One of the highlights of the lesson was that the children were very
well centered and understood what body spacing was along with the basic locomotor
movements. Students followed the instructions in the video at a very proficient rate as they
were shown on the SmartBoard. After the class participated in two fitness run videos, I had
them sit down on the carpet and do a turn and talk to discuss what locomotive movements were
used in the video. To wrap up the lesson I had students get on their laptop and complete a short
Kahoot quiz that further tested their knowledge for their own locomotive skills. In my personal
opinion, one of the hardest things in the lesson was actually to get student created products
especially with a younger group in addition to the fact that the content area that I teach is
physical education. In addition to class constraints due to testing and also most of my classes
having to take place outside, I often have to get permission from teachers to be inside the
classroom during PE. So while I didn’t reach my overall goal of student created technology
products, my students did effectively used technology to enhance their learning experience
which I am happy about.
