MONOLOGO COUNTRIES AND NATIONALITIES

Good evening, my name is Cristina Castro and my presentation

topic is about countries and nationalities.

In this presentation, I,m going to talk about what I like the most and
what I don’t like about my country, compare stereotypes about other
nationalities and finally I tell you anecdote about cultural aspect
when I visited India.

Firstly, with regard to my country,

I am from Spain and I could say a lot of good things of my country

but I like the most is their people, I think that we are very friendly
and affectionate, its food, I’m very keen on Mediterranean diet which
it’s full of fresh vegetables and fruits, seafood and high-quality
ingredients and so on and finally el weather, Spain is known for its
warm and sunny weather which attracts many tourists every year. Its
climate is perfect for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities.

Secondly, regarding stereotypes about other nationalities,

Some common stereotypes include:

Estados Unidos: patriotic and obsessed with guns and fast food

United Kingdom: polite and always drinking tea.

France: romantic and obsessed with wine and cheese

Italy: passionate, stylish and constantly eating pasta and pizza.

Finally I’m going to tell you an anecdote that I happened when I

travelled to India.

I used to travel to new country all summers and past summer I

travelled to India, I was very exciting about know the culture and
traditions of the country. However, there was one cultural aspect
that surprised him and it was the way Indian people used their
hands to eat food. They don’t use forks or spoons, Instead they eat
with their hands. I tried it but it is very difficult so a friendly local
offered to show me how to eat with my hands. He demonstrated
how to use three fingers to catch a small portion of rice or curry, in
fact with time and practice I became more comfortable with the new
practice. If you went to India you’d have to try it.

In conclusion, I love my country Spain, however I like travelling and

knowing another countries with you cultures and traditions.
