Making comparisons

Comparatives: comparing 2 things!- daha

We use adjectives/ adverbs to compare!

A. If your adjective is short, you use “-er than”

The woman is shorter than the man.

I am healthier than Greg.

B. If your adjective is long, you use “more… than”

My bed is more comfortable than Arda’s.

Superlatives: comparing more than 2 things! - en

A. If your adjective is short, you use “the - est of all/of them”

Dennis is the shortest student in the class.


Dennis is the shortest student of all.

Jackie is the happiest girl in the house.

B. If your adjective is a long one, you use “the most of all/of them/ in the team”

My car is the most comfortable of them.


This lahmacun is the most expensive lahmacun in the World.

IMPORTANT!

There are irregular adjectives!
