BARANGAY EXECUTIVE ORDER

No. 001 Series of 2023

Subject : Constitution of the Barangay Development Council of Barangay Mahayag, Alicia,

Bohol

Pursuant to Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 and its
Implementing Rules and Regulations, the Barangay Development Council (BDC)
of Barangay Mahayag, Alicia, Bohol is hereby constituted as follows:

Section 1. Composition – The Barangay Development Council (BDC) shall be composed of the
following:

1. CLARO M. WAJING Punong Barangay – Chairperson

2. MARIVIC B. GALES Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
3. EDWIN H. MAGDALES Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
4. ROLANDO J. DOTAROT Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
5. ALVIN S. BERONGOY Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
6. GERMOGENES A. BUTLIG Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
7. GLECERIO B. BURATO Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
8. GLECERIO B. MADIJANON Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
9. ALVIN A. AGUILAR Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson – Member
10. LUCITO C. DUYOG Religious Sector-Upper Mahayag Chapel – Member
11. RENATO C. DUYOG Representative of Mahayag, Samahang Nayong-Member
12. EDEN M. MONCANO Representative of DepEd– Member
13. ALEXIE B. TUTOR Congressman

Section 2. Functions of BDC - The BDC shall have the following functions:

1. Mobilize people's participation in local development efforts;

2. Prepare barangay development plans based on local requirements;
3. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and projects;
and
4. Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority.

Section 3. BDC Executive Committee - The BDC Executive Committee shall likewise be
constituted with the following composition:
1. CLARO M. WAJING Punong Barangay – Chairperson
2. ROLANDO J. DOTAROT Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
3. LUCITO C. DUYOG Representative of Mahayag Samahang Nayon
Section 4. Functions of the BDC Executive Committee – The BDC Execomm shall have the
following functions:

1. Ensure that the decision of the council are faithfully carried out and implemented;
2. Act on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the council;
3. Formulate policies, plans, and programs based on the general principles laid down by
the council; and
4. Act on other matters that may be authorized by the council.

Section 5. BDC Secretariat – The BDC Secretariat shall be created, composed by the following:

1. LEO GREAT M. BUTLIG, Barangay Secretary – Chairperson

2. MARIVIC B. GALES Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
3. EDWIN H. MAGDALES Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
4. ALVIN S. BERONGOY Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
5. GERMOGENES A. BUTLIG Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
6. GLECERIO B. BURATO Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
7. GLECERIO B. MADIJANON Sangguniang Barangay Member – Member
8. ALVIN A. AGUILAR Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson – Member

Section 6. Functions of the BDC Secretariat – The BDC Secretariat shall have the following
functions:

1. Provide technical support to the BDC;

2. Document of the Council’s proceedings;
3. Prepare of the Council’s reports; and
4. Other assistance as may be required in the discharge of its functions.

Section 5. Effectivity – This Order shall take effect immediately.
