IDSC basic troubleshooting Methods :-

1. DU IP Unreachable :-

Troubleshooting Methods :-

I. Ping test of DU IP from Jump server.


II. Check the crash on vcu.
III. Take MH ip of DU from EMS and VCU MH IP from vCU and do ping test.
IV. If above both cases IP not reachable, will ask dasan team to check DU POE status. And also
check DU MAC learnt or not.
V. If low POE, dasan team will give reset to POE port.
VI. If MAC not learnt, then Dasan team will assign TT to L2 team, and L2 team will assign TT to
FV. OR Dasan team will assign TT to FV directly.

2. DU IP Reachable:-

Troubleshooting Methods :-

1. Ping test of DU IP from Jump server


2. Take MH ip of DU from EMS and VCU MH IP from vCU and do ping test.
3. If ping is NOK, need to check with IPTX.
4. Also need to check if any crash is observed in VCU at same time , then need to check by
rebooting DU, if still not clear need to do vcu restart, as some cell may stuck after vcu crash
5. Some time DU IP is reachable but still cell is not operational, in this case use to check DU
POE status and if observed poe is low below threshold then need to give poe reset to
become cell operational.

6. Floor Switch Unreachable: -

Troubleshooting methods :-

1. ping test of FLSW IP from Jump server.


2. If FLWS IP not reachable, will check EDSW IP reachability (if suppose in 1 building 4 FLSW,2
are reachable and 2 are unreachable) will ask IPTX team to reset the port.
3. And checking DU IP reachability.
4. Take MH ip of DU from EMS and VCU MH IP from vCU and do ping test.
5. Some FLSW are directaly connected to SC-TOR , in that case need to check SC-TOR is
reachable or if SC_TOR reachable, need to check from IPTX. If FLSW port is down at SC-TOR
need to assign filed to check connectivity between FLSW & SC-TOR.
6. If EDSW is down , the need to check from IPTX whether at AG1 end , any port is down or any
other uplink issue

7. EDGE Switch Unreachable: - If complete building is down

Troubleshooting methods :-

1. If complete building is down, at that time EDSW,FLSW and DU IP are unreachable then in this
case will check with IPTX is EDSW port is down or not, if port is down will check for power
outage with unified monitoring team.

VCU TTs:

1. Check if VCU is reachable or not, if VCU is reachable login vcu and check if any crash
observed on vcu. If crash observed check the cell status also, as some cell may stuck after
crash.
2. If VCU is unreachable with mgmt IP, check with MH IP, if its reachable , need to login with Mh
IP and check cell status.
3. If multiple vcu are down/fluctuated need to check if any common point like compute/RDC.
Need to check with CVIM team for this.
