fingering weight sock yarn, 60 g needles 2,5 mm DPNs
Right hand mitten
Cast on 72 sts. Work k2, p2 ribbing in the round for 5,5 cm or desired length for cuff. Begin working charts from row 1 in this order: Palm Chart, Right Hand Chart and Gusset Chart (Right). Continue as established, repeating Move all 24 gusset sts onto needles and pick up 5 indicated rows, until you have worked row 35 of sts from the thumb opening. Work thumb Gusset Chart (row 15 of Right Hand Chart, row 3 of according to Thumb Chart. Cut yarn, thread Palm Chart). through remaining 8 sts and weave in ends.
Left hand mitten
Work cuff as for right hand mitten. Begin working charts in this order: Palm Chart, Gusset Chart (Left) and Left Hand Chart. Work as for right mitten but using left hand charts. Work thumb according to Thumb Chart but note that round begins with p2 and ends with p1.
On next round, continue working Palm and Right
Hand Charts as established and move all 24 gusset sts on scrap yarn for thumb. Continue working Palm and Right Hand Charts until work measures approximately 21 cm and you have just worked row 11 of Right Hand Chart. On next round, begin working Palm Decrease Chart and Right Hand Decrease Chart. When you have worked these charts once, cut yarn, thread through the remaining 15 sts and weave in ends.
