People Media
-refers to persons that are involved in the use, analysis, evaluation and production of media and
information
People as media
-people who are well-oriented to media sources and massages and able to provide information as accurate
and reliable as possible.
Who are those people as media?
Opinion Leaders- highly exposed to media and actively using media.
Citizen Journalism-people without professional journalism training can use the tools of modern
technology and internet to create, augment or fact-check media on their own or in collaboration with
others.
Social Journalism- journalists are using social media to make their content available to more people.
Crowdsourcing- contributions from a large group of people.

How will you be one of those people as media?

People in media
Media practitioners who provide information coming from their expert knowledge or first- hand
experience of event.
Who are those people in media?
TYPES OF JOURNALISTS BY MEDIUM
Print Journalists - collect and analyse facts about newsworthy events by interview, investigation and
observation and write stories for newspapers, magazines or journals.
Photojournalists - is a type of journalist who helps tell stories through the use of photographs rather than
words. They take and edit photographs to communicate events.
Broadcast Journalists- research, investigate and present news and current affairs content for television,
radio and online. Their aim is to present information in a balanced, accurate and interesting way through
news bulletins, documentaries and other factual programmes.
Multimedia Journalist-narrate or write news stories, reviews, or commentary for print, broadcast, or
other communications media such as newspapers, magazines, radio, or television. May collect and
analyze information through interview, investigation, or observation.
