• Houseflies eat rotting and decaying organic materials, including the faces of
humans and animals. When a housefly consumes bacteria, viruses, or parasites-
infected food, the pathogens concentrate in its oesophagus or digestive tract. To
feed on liquid or semi-liquid substances, they have a long tongue called a
proboscis. They regurgitate a liquid made up of saliva and digestive secretions that
breaks down solid food into a liquid material, allowing them to feast. Any
bacterium existing in their oesophagus will be passed to the item they are eating as
a result of this feeding practise. In the same way, any germs in their digestive tract
might infect the objects they defecate on.

• Zika • Conjunctivitis.
• Dengue • Dysentery.
• West Nile virus • Gastroenteritis.
• Malaria • Salmonellosis.

Understanding Natural M&F repellent
• Lemon eucalyptus oil, Lavender, Cinnamon,
Thyme oil, Greek catnip oil, Soybean oil,
Citronella, Tea tree oil, Geraniol, Neem oil etc
are some of the known ingredients that has
repelling qualities for mosquitoes and flies.
Many of them also have analgesic, antifungal,
antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic
qualities.
• Mosquitoes and ticks are attracted to skin
odors and the carbon dioxide we exhale. They
also use heat, movement, and visual cues to
find a possible host. Repellents affect an
insect's senses such as smell and taste to
prevent it from finding a human or animal
host.
• T1B Repel is made up of a biodegradable blend
powered by natural plant extracts & essential oils.
• Most plants contain compounds that they use in
preventing attack from phytophagous (plant eating)
insects. Although the primary functions of these
compounds are defence against phytophagous insects,
many are also effective against mosquitoes.
• This repellency of plant material has been exploited for
thousands of years by man, most simply by hanging
bruised plants in houses, a practice that is still in wide
use throughout the developing countries.
• Plants have also been used for centuries in the form of
crude fumigants where plants were burnt to drive away
nuisance mosquitoes and later as oil formulations
applied to the skin or clothes. Plant-based repellents
are still extensively used in this traditional way
throughout rural communities in the tropics
How does it work
• Mosquito antennae are long feathery organs which are positioned in front of their heads and those
antennae contain sensitive receptors that detect carbon dioxide in human breath from distances of more
than 100 feet.
• A mosquito repellent is a substance applied to skin, clothing or other surfaces which discourages mosquitoes
from landing or climbing on that surface.
• Usually, mosquito repellents work by using a scent which mosquitoes naturally avoid. The perception of the
odor is through chemo-receptors which are present in the antennae of mosquitoes. The repellents block the
lactic acid receptors and destroy upwind flight. Therefore, mosquitoes lose its contact with the substrate.
