3. Computer vision involves ….
Image classification, Object detection and Semantic
segmentation.
1. Types of Artificial Intelligence (Refer page no: 100)
• Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI)
• Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
• Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI)

g) Health care industry
h) Facial recognition
i) Virtual voice assistant
j) Fitness applications.

3. AI Domains
o Data Science (Collection of big data)
o Computer Vision (CV)
o Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Data Science: It is a process of identifying the various sources of data,
collecting the data in the correct format or as per the requirements and
preparing it for any specific AI model.
For example: - If we are making a weather prediction model using AI,
we need to identify the parameters that defines weather such as
temperature, humidity, etc. and the sensors from which this data can be
collected and so on. Therefore, Predictive and forecasting models are
completely dependent on the quality of data collected.
Computer Vision (CV): It is a process of capturing, processing and
analysing real world images and videos to allow machines to extract
meaningful information’s from the physical world.
For example:- Self-driving cars, facial recognition based tracking
system with camera, image searching shopping webs like Amazon, QR
codes, Google lens, Snapchat filters, expression detection (Smile),
virtual sports replay, medical imaging like MRI, AI-guides surgery etc.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): It is the ability of computer
program to understand the human languages as it is spoken.
For example:- Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri, Cortana, Google
Translator, Microsoft Translator etc.

4. Differentiate between machine learning and deep learning.

MACHINE LEARNING
It is the subset of AI. It is the study which provides a system to learn
and improve on its own through their experiences.
"Machine Leaning allows the computers to learn from the experiences
by its own, use statistical methods to improve the performance and
predict the output without being explicitly programmed."
The popular applications of Machine Learning are Email spam
filtering, product recommendations, online fraud detection etc.
DEEP LEARNING
It is the subset of AI and ML. It is the study in which machines are
trained on its own by examine the algorithms and rules. It focuses on
Artificial Neural Network (ANN).
It works technically in the same way as machine learning does, but
with different capabilities and approaches. It is inspired by the
functionality of human brain cells, which are called neurons and leads
to the concept of artificial neural networks. It is also called a deep
neural network or deep neural learning.
Some popular applications of deep learning are self-driving cars,
Unemployment What will happen after the end of jobs?

How are we going to distribute the wealth

Inequality
created by machines?

How do Machines affect our behaviour and

Humanity
interaction?

Artificial
How can we guard against the mistakes?
Stupidity

Security How do we keep AI safe from Adversaries?

language translation, natural language processing etc.

5. What is AI ethics?
AI ethics are the set of guiding principles that stakeholders (from
engineers to government officials) use to ensure artificial intelligence
technology is developed and used responsibly. This means taking a
safe, secure, humane, and environmentally friendly approach to AI.

• Taking over human jobs leading towards the era

of Unemployment.
• Making human less efficient, For example: asking everything
from an artificial intelligent machine and making their own
decisions.
• Wealth inequalities, where wealthy people will become richer by
the influence of machines where as poor people will become poor
because of lack of jobs.
• Machines will affect humanity and making them less interacting
with other people.
• Machines don’t know the desired output that humans want.
• Facing racism from machines, which is also called AI Bias
AI Bias means favouring someone or something. AI
bias focuses upon training the machines with unbiased
data, when Bias Data is fed to an AI Machine while
creating the Model then the machine will also be biased.

• We have seen that in most of artificial assistants have a female

voice and not a male voice.
• When a camera missed the mark on racial sensitivity, or when a
software used to predict future criminals showed bias against
black people.
• Security systems are trained, based on an individual’s race of
gender rather than their actions ,movements to commit the crime
,etc. facial recognition systems that look a diverse Training set
,resulting in only detecting the race for which they are trained.
• AI bias Always collect data from authentic sources or unknown
people and train the machines to avoid biasness in output
6. What is the black box problem in AI?
Black box AI is any artificial intelligence system whose inputs
and operations aren't visible to the user or another interested
party. A black box, in a general sense, is an impenetrable system.
Black box AI models arrive at conclusions or decisions without
providing any explanations as to how they were reached.
“It is the situation created by a system itself and the
developer of the system cannot resolve it”.: Black box
problem
7. AI ethics includes :
✓ AI bias
