Tutorials
Invisible Join

Step 1: Ajer finishing the round, cut the

yarn, pull it out of the s<tch, and place it on
a tapestry needle.

Steps 2-4: Skip one s<tch. Place the

tapestry needle through both loops of the
next s<tch, and pull the yarn.
Don’t pull to hard. With this technique, we
are duplica<ng and covering the s<tch
below - the one that we skipped.

Steps 4-6: Next, thread the needle through

the back loop of the s<tch we pulled out
the yarn in step 1, and also through the
s<tch behind it. Hide the lejover yarn by
threading it through the s<tches inside the
work.

Standing Stitch

Step 1: Place a slip knot on the hook. Step 2: Place the hook through any s<tch. Step 3: Make a single crochet.

Changing Colours

Step 1: Finish your last sc. Step 2: Start next sc with the new colour. Work with only one colour, and the other colour keep behind un<l its
<me to pick it up. Step 3: Ajer making a half of the first sc keep the working yarn flexible and a li2le loose in the back to not pull the work,
so the fabric can freely expand during stuffing. Stretch the body a li2le during this first sc.

Steps 4-5: Keep the not working yarn secured behind the working yarn. Step 6: Time to change the colour back. Start new sc with the new
colour just as before.

Closing

Ajer finishing the last round cut a long end and pull it out of the s<tch. Steps 1-2: With a tapestry needle thread the yarn end through the
front loop {FLO} of the six remaining s<tches. Step 3: Next, pull the yarn to <ghten the circle.

Steps 4-6: Go through the centre of the work inside and out and pull the yarn again to close the s<tches.

Steps 7-9: Next, thread the yarn in and out of the work a few <mes in random places to secure it. Pull the yarn once more and cut the
lejover yarn close to the surface. Pulling the yarn while cuAng the end should make the end disappear inside the work. Push the end
inside with a needle if necessary.

Gris

Steps 1-2: With a tapestry needle and long piece of Metropolis → Leeds 046 go through any sc on the last round of the cap bo2om. Pull
one end out of the sc and pull the other end through the next sc. Step 3: Working with one end at the <me go through the front loop
above the s<tch from which you pull out the end.

Step 4: Next, insert the needle between bo2om and top parts of the cap. Make a straight line. Step 5: Come back to the same place you
started. Steps 6-9: Place the tapestry needle in the next sc and repeat the process. Work with the other end in the opposite direc<on.
When you run out of yarn cut a new piece and start on the opposite side of the cap.

Assembling

With a tapestry needle thread two long pieces of Catona Denim → 102 through the middle
of the mushroom head. Next, thread the yarn through the mushroom cap in four places
close to the edge, but not through the bo2om part.

Pull the yarn to place the head inside the cap. Now using a long, doll sewing needle sew
both pieces together. Go through the head and cap as many <mes as needed un<l the cap
is secured.

Scales

Use sewing needle, Catona Denim → 102, Metropolis → Lyon 078 and Toho seed beads → Opaque Light Beige.

Make french knots all over the cap. To make different sizes wrap the yarn around the needle 2, 3 or 4 <mes, also split the yarn to make
thinner threads.

Important note: Make yourself a cup of coffee first because this will take a while! :)

Roots & Plant

With a sewing needle and few pieces of Spirit → Gazelle 305 make mushroom roots {mycelium} by threading the yarn through the <ps of
the feet. With the sharp needle end separate the yarn ends to create roots. Make a few french knots around the bo2om of the mushroom
to simulate pieces of soil. You can also use black beads.

With a sewing needle and Spirit → Grasshopper 307 make a li2le plant on the mushroom. Make an embroidery on the surface, so it looks
like a forest plant of your choice: conifer branch, moss or grass. Add a few french knots or green seed beads.
