BRIEF:

Under the ongoing operation PARAKRAM, a team led by SHO/Vijay

Vihar under supervision of ACP/Rohini and under overall supervision of
DCP/Rohini was constituted to put a curb on the menace of snatching, robbery
and auto lifting incidents in Rohini District. The patrolling staff of PS Vijay Vihar
has done a commendable job by arresting one desperate criminal namely Sonu
Kumar @ Bugla age 28 yrs. One button actuated knife and one robbed mobile
phone were recovered from his possession.

INCIDENT AND ARREST:

In order to prevent and put a curb on the menace of snatching and

auto lifting incidents, an operation ‘PARAKRAM’ is going on in the Rohini
District. On 10.10.23, about 8:45 PM, HC Ankush, Ct Sanjeev and Ct Rohitash
were patrolling in the area. During patrolling, they spotted a suspected person
roaming near Lal Quarter mother dairy. He was signaled to stop for checking but
seeing police staff the suspect tried to escape. The staff acted promptly and
apprehended him. He was later on identified as Sonu Kumar @ Bugla S/o
Jagdish Kumar R/o Sector-4 Rohini Age 28 Yrs. On his search, a button
actuated knife was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, A case vide FIR
No. 504/23 dated 10.10.2023 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act , PS Vijay Vihar was
registered and investigation was taken up. On sustained questioning, the alleged
Sonu Kumar disclosed his involvement in a recent robbery case reported vide
FIR No. 500/2023 U/s 394/34 IPC, dated 06.10.2023, PS Vijay Vihar. Upon his
instance, the robbed mobile phone was recovered from his possession. The
alleged was arrested in the case. Further investigation is in progress.
