SUBJECT : Special Written Report re: Qualified Theft

c. SIU Blotter Entry No.2023-08-3227 dated August 23, 2023.

2. This pertains to the alleged robbery incident (break-in) that was discovered
at around 7:30 AM of August 23, 2023 at the Greenhouse Trading office located at
No. 6071 Pabaya St. Mapulang Lupa, Valenzuela City. The complainant is the
Greenhouse Trading, duly represented by Lovely Dacal Galot, female, 29 years old,
single, stay-in secretary in the said company. The suspect was identified as Sheila
Soriano Galido, female, 29 years old, single, and a stay-in company secretary in the
Greenhouse Trading. The arresting officers were PSSg Mark Joseph Tiu and Pat
Alonica Sicomen, PNP members assigned at Detective Management Unit (DMU),
VCPS. Items involved was cash sales amounting to PhP 609,000.00 (initially PhP
619,000.00).

3. Initial investigation disclosed that when Ms. Galot, secretary of

Greenhouse Trading, opened the door to their office, she found it in disarray, and the
plastic box containing their cash sales, which was placed on the top of the table, had
already been opened, and the cash sales were allegedly missing.

4. This prompted her to seek assistance from the barangay watchmen of

Mapulang Lupa, and later from the personnel of Ugong Police Sub-Station 8, VCPS
who immediately responded and cordoned the place of incident. Thereafter, they
reported the matter to SIU, VCPS for investigation. Probers from this Police Station
immediately conducted an ocular investigation and sought the technical assistance

of Valenzuela City SOCO-FU Satellite Office led by PCMs Linante Soriano to

process the crime scene.

5. The probers conducted follow-up investigation and questioning among the

employees of Greenhouse Trading, subsequently, Shiela Soriano Galido (suspect)
verbally admitted that she was the one who stole the cash from their sales. This was
acknowledged in the presence of the complainant/representative, Lovely Dacal
Dalut. SIU probers and operatives of DMU of this Police Station led by PLT RONALD
BAUTISTA proceeded again in the said place at about 3:45 PM of even date that
resulted in the recovery of the stolen cash amounting to Php 609,000.00 hidden
inside the stock room of said company. Hence, arrest was immediately instituted
against the suspect.

6. The suspect was informed of the offense she committed and was duly
apprised of her constitutional rights in a language known to, and understood by her
but opted to invoke her right to remain silent.

7. The arrested suspect and the recovered pieces of evidence were brought
to the Station Investigation Unit for documentation and for the filing of appropriate
charges. She was later subjected to medical examination at Valenzuela Medical
Center.

8. Disposition: A criminal complaint of QUALIFIED THEFT will be filed

against the arrested suspect thru inquest proceedings before the Valenzuela City
Prosecutor's Office.
