SUBJECT: An Unidentified Dead Body TIME: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (MW)
FOR: The Chief, Homicide Section DATE: November 22, 2023

This is an initial report about an unidentified dead body which was found laying down in UNIT V, Oprra
Kalunasan, Cebu City, near at the Modern Jeepney Terminal. This case was reported to this office at 4:00 AM,
November 22, 2023 by Sgt. Yna Manlangit, Desk Officer of Presinct No. 4.

Investigation revealed that about 3:00 AM, November 22, 2023 when MS. LARA GOMEZ y GOMEZ, 27 years
old, single, sales lady, residing at UNIT II, Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City, was waiting a modern jeepney,
smelled an unnecessary odor behind one of the modern jeepney. When he checked behind to the direction
where the scent came from she saw a body laying down

With the help of two persons: the conductor and co-passenger. They reported the matter to the desk officer of
the presinct.

The victim was a male, Filipino, about 35 years old, about 5'6 tall, dark brown complexion, long-haired man,
about to go to his work. No means of identification was found.

After photographing, the victim was transferred to the police morgue for autopsy.

This case is to be further investigated.

SUBJECT: Deaath of JAY COSTAS y AGUS TIME: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (MW)
FOR: The Chief, Homicide Section DATE: December 04, 2023

This is a progress report concerning an unidentified dead body was found in the UNIT V, Oprra Kalunasan,
Cebu City, near at the Modern Jeepney Terminal, about 3:30 AM, November 22, 2023. The initial report of this
case was submitted on November 22, 2023 under the same case number.

Through a follow-up investigation the victim identified as JAY COSTAS y AGUS, 35 years old, single, security
guard un UNITOP, resided with his parents at house no. 123 UNIT II, Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City. At 9:00 AM
November 22, 2023 the identification was made at the police morgue by Mr. and Mrs. Lito Costas parents of
the victim.

The mother revealed that her son, when goes to work, always wears his gold necklace with a pendant with a
heart shape and his stainless Rolex watch. When his body found, he was naked, and without those jewelries.

According to Dr. Chandria Ford, the Medical Examiner who performed the autopsy, the victim was stabbed
twice right side of his neck, presumably used by a knife.

In view of these revelations, the theory of robbery with homicide is the most probable motive to pursued in this
investigation.

SUBJECT: Robbery with Homicide TIME: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (MW)
FOR: The Chief, Homicide Section DATE: December 06, 2023

This is the final report about the unidentified dead body which was found laying down in the Oprra Kalunasan,
near at the Modern Jeepney Terminal, UNIT V, Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City about 3:30AM, November 22,
2023. This case was reported to this Office by Sgt. Yna Manlangit, Desk Officer Presinct No. 4. A copy of its
initial report is attached hereto, marked as Exhibit “A”

At 9:00AM November 22, 2023 the victim was identified as JAY COSTAS y AGUS, 35 years old, single,
security guard in UNITOP, resided with his parents house no. 123 UNIT II, Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City. The
identification was made at the Police morgue by Mr. and Mrs. Lito Costas, parents of the victim. A copy of the
progress report is also enclosed herewith, marked as Exhibit “B”

After viewing the body, the mother inquired about the pieces of jewelries of her son. She revealed that
everytime hi son goes to work, he always wears his gold necklace with a pendant heart shape and his
stainless Rolex watch. When his body was found, his jewelries are nowhere to be found.

Dr. Chandria Ford, the Medical Examiner who performed the autopsy, informed the mother that when her son
was brought yo the morgue, he was naked and without those described pieces of jewelry. He disclosed that
the victim had two punctured wounds at the side of his neck, presumably caused by a knife with caused the
death. The autopsy report is attached in this report, marked as Exhibit “C”

With the missing jewelry and the nature of the wounds inflicted on the victim, the investigation of this case
pursued on the theory of robbery with homicide. Daily reports of pawnshops, starting from November 31, 2023
were checked. Likewise those specialized expensive watches, were discreetly flushed.

About 12:00 midnight, November 24, 2023 he was apprehended while celebrating his birthday at his
residence , UNIT III Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City. When the suspect apprehended he was wearing the gold
necklace with the pendant shaped heart and the stainless Rolex watch which was owned by the victim and
which these jewelries was given by his mother.

In his signed confession, the suspect identified as ROGER CARDO y SLAS, 28 years old, single, native UNIT
II Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City doing as a vendor of vegetables and fruits at the Jeepney Terminal.
The suspect revealed that avout 3:30 AMexact, November 22, 2023 after he came to the Jeepney Terminal, he
noticed that there’s a man waiting on a side for a ride going for his work. He was automatically attracted by the
Rex watch and the necklace with the passenger was wearing. After they alighted, he followed the man from
distance. A strong desire was formed in his mind to rob the man of his jewelries. All he needed was an
opportunity to do it.

When he had an opportunity to stab, he did it from the back at the right side of his neck, at that time the man
collapsed and later on made him into death. After divesting the victim had the Rolex watch and necklace.

About 11:40AM November 25, 2023 through JOY AGASSI y DULHO alias “Joy-joy” 28 years old, a food
vendor, and residing at UNIT IV Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City.

On the sane day he had the necklace with a pendant heart shape and the stainless Rolex watch, those
jewelries were bought by only P800.00 in total to JANNA CLAIRE y MANTO alias “Janna” 27 years old, a
conductor, and residing at UNIT IV, Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City.

About 1:30 PM November 26, 2023 BERNADETTE LOURDES y GOMEZ, alias “Berna”, 48 years old, married,
a buy and sell agent, reside at House no. 737 at Capitol Site, Cebu City. She admitted buying those jewelries:
the stainless Rolex watch and the gold necklace.

After taking down their respective written confessions, the following persons were placed under arrest:

1. ROGER CARDO y SALAS, 28 years old, single, UNIT II Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City --- arrested with
robbery with Homicide.
2. JOY AGASSI y DULHO, 28 years old, single, UNIT IV Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City --- qrrested as an
accomplice.
3. JANNA CLAIRE y MANTO, 27 years old, UNIT IV Oprra Kalunasan, Cebu City --- arrested as an
accomplice.
4. BERNADETTE LOURDES y GOMEZ, 48 years old alias “Berna”, marrie6, a buy and sell agent, reside
at House no. 737, Capitol Site, Cebu City --- arrested for violation of the Anti-Fencing Law.

In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances concerning the arrest of the suspects, the recovery of
the property and the fatal weapon, this case is considered SOLVED/CLOSED.

The corresponding charges will be filed with the Prosecutor’s Office.

SUBJECT: An Unidentified Dead Body TIME: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (MW)
FOR: The Chief, Murder Section DATE: December 04, 2023

This us an initial report about an unidentified dead body which was found in the street of Sanciangko St.,
Kalubihan Cebu City. This case was reported to the office at 7:00AM, December 5, 2023 by Sgt. Yna
Manlangit, Desk Officer of Presinct No. 4

Investigation revealed that about 6:00AM, December 5, 2023 when MR. CHRIS DELA CERA y SANTKS, 35
years old, marrie6, taxi driver, residing at Barrio Maria, Guadalupe Cebu City, was waiting for a passengers
and riding all along, he saw the body laying down on a street. In his curiosity, he checked the body if it’s still
alive or not. After he checked the body then he immediately reported the matter to the desk officer of the
presinct.

The victim was a male, Filipino, 23 years old, about 5’2 tall, mestizo, regular haircut, with bruises. No means of
identification was found in his person. None among the curious onlookers could give any information about the
victim.

After photographing, the victim was transferred to the police morgue for autopsy.

The case is to be further investigated.

SUBJECT: Death of CALVIN CLARK y ROMERO TIME: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (MW)
FOR: The Chief, Murder Section DATE: December 05, 2023

This is a progress report concerning an unidentified dead body which was found in the streetof
Sanciangko St., Kalubihan Cebu City about 7:00AM December 5, 2023 under the same case number.

Through a follow-up investigation the victim identified as CLAVIN CLARK y ROMERO, 28 years old,
single, a Civil Engineering student at University of Cebu Main Campus, resided with his parents at
house no. 143 at Santo Rosario, Kalubihan Cebu City. At 9:00 AM December 5, 2023 the identification
was made at the police morgue by Mr. and Mrs. Clark, parents of the victim.

According to the mother, the last she saw her son alive was about 5:00 AM, December 5, 2023 when
he left home to go to school go class. When her son failed to arrive home and never to contact on, they
started to panic and immediately search his son from school – inquiring from friends, classmates,
teachers, relatives, hospitals, and finally the police.

The mother revealed that her son is a consistent honor student and consistent school official.

According to DR. LIZA CORTEZ, the Medical Examiner who performed the autopsy, the victim was
shot in the head twice and punched in the different park on his body.

In view of these revelations, the theory of murder is the most probable motive to be pursued in the
investigation.

FOR: The Chief, Murder Section DATE: December 06, 2023

This is the final report about thr unidentified dead body which was found in the street of Sanciangko St.,
Kalubihan Cebu City about 7:00AM, December 5, 2023. This case was reported to this office by Sgt.
Yna Manlangit, Desk Officer of Presinct No. 4. A copy of its initial report is attach6, marked as Exhibit
“A”

At 9:00AM, December 5, 2023 the victim was identified as CALVIN CLARK y ROMERO, 23 years old,
about 5’2 tall, single, student of University of Cebu Main Campus, resided with his parents at house no.
143, Santo Rosario, Kalubihan Cebu City. The identification was made at the morgue by Mr. and Mrs.
Clark parents of the victim. A copy of the progress report is also enclosed herewith, marked as Exhibit
“B”

After viewing the body, the mother inquired to see gun shots and bruises that her son gained.

DR. LIZA COTEZ, the Medical Examiner who performed the autopsy, informed the mother that when
her son was bought to the morgue, he has bruises and gun shots. The autopsy report is attached in this
report, marked as Exhibit “C”

Upon inquiring to request for a view of the CCTV footage to the nearest street from where it happened.
They found out that around 5:40 AM the victim shot.

The suspect identified JOHN CRIS SANTOS y GOMEZ, 23 years old, single, a student of Civil
Engineering in University of Cebu Main Campus, a friend of the victim.

At that 12:00 midnight December 4, 2023, the suspect was planning to kill the victim in a reason of
jealousy because the victim is always on top of the class, and has the capacity to lead in the school as
an act of jealousy, without to think the consequences the suspect committed of such act of killing the
victim and using the a pistol, a .45ACP Pistol for using it for killing the victim.

After taking down the respective written investigation, this person were placed under arrest.

1. JOHN CRIS SANTOS y GOMEZ, 23 years old, single, Civil Engineering student at University of
Cebu Main Campus --- arrested of Murder.

In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances concerning the arrest of the suspect. This case
considered SOLVED/ CLOSED

The corresponding charges will be filed with Prosecutor’s Office.
