Topic 1:
A company wants to motivate staff to work harder. Talk together for about 2/3 minutes about ome of
things the company could do to motivate them and then decide together which threethings would
be the best. Here are some ideas to help you, staff motivation:
- Highe salaries - More tranning - Bouns payments -More holidays - Flexible working hours -
Private health insurance - New offices -Free company transport
The conversation ;
First Speaker: Alright, let's brainstorm approaches for the business to inspire employees to put in
more effort. What catches your attention?
Speaker 2: The obvious one is higher pay. It can directly increase employee value and comes with a
cash incentive.
First Speaker: I concur. Another alternative is to receive further training. Enhancing employees'
abilities helps the business succeed in addition to helping the employees themselves.
Speaker 2: What about incentives like bonuses? They can raise spirits and give prompt
acknowledgment for diligent work.
First Speaker: That's correct. More holidays, perhaps? Though a little out of the ordinary, it might
provide a wonderful work-life balance and revitalize staff members.
Speaker 2: The ability to work flexibly could transform the game. It supports a more positive
integration of work and life while attending to individual requirements.
First Speaker: One good benefit is having private health insurance. It demonstrates the company's
concern for the welfare of its workers.
Speaker 2: Stress levels could be raised and the work atmosphere improved with new offices and
free business transportation. Are they effective motivators, though?
First Speaker: Now let's focus on it. Increased pay, additional training, and flexible work schedules are
what come to mind. Which three rank highest in your opinion?
Second Speaker: More training and higher pay are things I support. Let's go with flexible working
hours for the third. It addresses work-life balance, professional growth, and financial benefits.
Speaker 1: Excellent decisions. This all-encompassing strategy will, in my opinion, go over well with
the employees and cover many facets of incentive. Let us put these concepts in front of the
management.
Topic 2 ;
You are a staff in a marketing team. Your team is choosing some gifts to help promote your
company.Talk together about different gifts and decide which three would be the most suitable. The
gifts:
• Backpack
• Water bottle
• Pen
• Notebook
• Raincoat
• Helmet
• T-shirt
The conversation:
First Speaker: Now, let us discuss possible promotional presents for our upcoming marketing
campaign. Preferences of any kind?
Speaker 2: I believe that useful things would be most useful. A bottle of water, perhaps? People
frequently carry them about since they are useful.
First Speaker: Well said. How about a notebook or pen? Everyone could use an extra one of these as
they're classic.
Second Speaker: I concur. Another option would be a T-shirt. Wearable technology makes our staff
members into walking advertisements.
First Speaker: Excellent idea. A backpack seems like it might be useful as well. They are regularly used
by people, and our logo might be seen well.
First Speaker: Indeed. However, unless we work in an area where safety is the top priority, a helmet
can be a bit niche.
Second Speaker: I concur. So let's focus on a smaller area. A T-shirt, a pen or notebook, and a water
bottle seem like sensible options. How do you feel?
First Speaker: I agree with that decision. The T-shirt for increased visibility, the pen or notebook for
workplace necessities, and the water bottle for regular use. Let's suggest these ideas to the group.
Speaker 2: It seems like a strategy. These presents cater to a variety of tastes and guarantee that
people's everyday lives are infused with our logo.
