Global warming refers to the long-term rise in Earth's average temperature since the 1970s, caused mainly by increased greenhouse gas emissions from human activities like burning fossil fuels. Climate change is the result of global warming, bringing unexpected weather changes and effects like melting glaciers and rising seas. Preventing further global warming requires limiting activities that produce greenhouse gases and increasing carbon dioxide recycling through reforestation and other measures.

It refers to the long term warming of planet since industrial revolution in 1970s. Since then, the average temperature of earth has gone up by a little over 1°C, a change which might seem small, but even small changes in earth’s temperature could have damaging affects and moreover the temperature is still gradually on rise. WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE? Climate change is an implication of global warming. Global warming results in unexpected weather changes, apart from other effects like melting glaciers, raised ocean temperatures and extreme cold or heat. These conditions all together cause changes in climatic conditions throughout the globe. CAUSES WHY THERE IS A GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE One of the main causes of global warming is an escalated green house effect. I t is an effect caused by the increased atmospheric condition of Green house gases like Carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and Methane (CH4). These gases are emitted as by products of fossil fuel production and use. Humans extensively use fossil fuels resulting in increased atmospheric concentration of green house gases, consequently resulting in green house effect. Green house effect is primarily responsible for climate change. Sun’s heat is blocked from escaping the surface of earth by certain gases which form a thermal blanket over the earth. These gases constitute primarily of water vapor (H2O) and other gases like carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4) and Nitrous oxide (N2O), and are responsible for maintaining earth’s temperature to a life supporting 15°C. PREVENTION OF GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE In order to reduce the effect of global warming/climate change we should limit our need of agriculture, deforestation, mining, industrial production, etc. We should do re-plantation of the plants to a great level to reduce the side effects of deforestation. We should replant the genetically engineered plants and replenishment of oceans with algae which are efficient to recycle the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. We should also follow all the rules and regulations planned and implemented by the government to reach to the aim and continue the possibility of healthy life on the earth.
