Blog Update #2

November 8th, 2023 (Wednesday Nov 1st- Tuesday Nov 7th)

So far, I have put in 4 hours into my capstone project. I have gained leadership skills, I still get nervous
when I have to put myself out there and tell the kids what to do in hope that they’ll do it, I’m not sure
why that’s a fear of mine but I’m overcoming it with this project. I stuttered a few times during the first
practice and messed a few words up out of fear, but I’ve been getting better and more confident
throughout this week. Those stutters and messing up some words were definitely challenges to me and
in order to move forward, instead of being awkward about it I laughed it off and everybody forgot about
it. Moving forward, I want to gain confidence with talking to the kids and teaching them what to do so
that they take what I’m saying more serious and that I look like I know what I’m talking about instead of
them thinking I don’t have a clue. The only obstacles I anticipate are my nervousness which I’m currently
overcoming and having rides to practices. Also, my own teams' practices may get in the way.
