The pattern consists of double crochet stitches worked alternately from the front and back around the
double crochet posts of the previous round.
The pattern has to be divisible by 4 stitches.

1. Ch 64 (68) 72 (76). Join the foundation chain with 1 ss.


2. Ch 1. Work sc around and finish with 1 ss.
3. Ch 1. Work dc around and finish with 1 ss in the first dc.

Continue in pattern, like this:

4. Ch 1. Work 1 fpdc around the post of the dc into which you’ve just crocheted a ss.
Work 1 fpdc around the next dc-post. Work 1 bpdc around the next 2 dc posts.
Work ”1 fpdc around the next 2 dc-posts. Work 1 bpdc around the following 2 dc.posts”.
Repeat from ”to” around. Finish with 1 ss.

Repeat the procedure as described in round 4 until your work measures 2.4 (2.4) 2.8 (2.8) inches (6
(6) 7 (7) cm).
Ch 1. Work sc around and finish with1 ss.
Loosely, work ss the entire way around.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Work a ss-edge around the edge of the opposite side. Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
