Indent – Eyes:
If you wish, you can indent the eyes like this:

1. Using pastel yellow, pull the needle out 2. Insert the needle on the opposite side of
on one side the eye. the eye and tighten slightly.

3. Pull the needle through on one side of 4. and insert it again on the opposite side of
the other eye the eye

5. Tighten slightly to indent the eyes a bit

and shape the hollows.

Beak:
Using yellow
1. Begin with a mr and work 4 sc into the ring. (4)
2. Work 2 sc in each st around. (8)
3. Work 1 sc in each st around. (8)
4. Work ” 1 sc in the first st, 2 sc in the next st”. Repeat ”to” to the end of the round. (12)
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail for assembling.
Sew the beak onto the chick. If you like, add some regular rouge on the cheeks.

Wings:
Using pastel yellow – Make 2
1. Begin with a mr and work 6 sc into the ring. (6)
2. Work 2 sc in each st around. (12)
3. Work ”1 sc in the first st, 2 sc in the next st”. Repeat ”to” to the end of the round. (18)
4. -6. Work 1 sc around. (18)

Insert the yarn on round 10 on the back of the body. Ch 8, work 1 sc where you inserted the
yarn. Ch 10, work 1 sc where you inserted the yarn. Ch 8 and work 1 sc where you inserted
the yarn. Cut the yarn and weave in ends.
