______________One new project idea that could help solve an environmental problem
is the development of a solar-powered water purification system. This system would use
solar energy to power a filtration process that removes contaminants from water
sources, making it safe for consumption and reducing the reliance on traditional energy
sources.

Objectives:
___________This project would address the issue of water pollution and scarcity, which
is a significant environmental problem in many regions around the world. By utilizing
solar power, it would also contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and
dependence on fossil fuels.

The solar-powered water purification system could be designed to be portable and

scalable, making it suitable for both individual households and larger community
settings. It could incorporate advanced filtration technologies such as reverse osmosis
or activated carbon filters to ensure high-quality water output.
Additionally, this project could include educational initiatives to raise awareness about
the importance of clean water and sustainable energy practices. By promoting the
adoption of solar-powered water purification systems, communities could become more
self-sufficient in accessing safe drinking water while minimizing their impact on the
environment.

Short summary of the project (not more than 200 words)
Overall, this project idea combines renewable energy technology with addressing a
pressing environmental issue, making it a promising solution for improving access to
clean water while reducing environmental harm.

Materials, Tools, equipment/instruments required:

_______Materials:

1. Solar panels: These will capture sunlight and convert it into electricity.
2. Batteries: To store the generated electricity for use during non-sunny periods.
3. Charge controller: It regulates the flow of electricity from the solar panels to the
batteries.
4. Water purification unit: This can be a reverse osmosis system, UV sterilizer, or any
other suitable water treatment method.
5. Piping and fittings: To connect various components of the system and transport
water.
6. Storage tanks or containers: To hold purified water for later use.
_______Tools:

1. Screwdrivers and wrenches: For assembling and securing components.

2. Wire cutters and strippers: To work with electrical wiring.
3. Pipe cutters or saws: For cutting pipes to required lengths.
4. Drill and bits: To create holes for mounting solar panels or other fixtures.
__________Equipment:

1. Multimeter: Used to measure voltage, current, and resistance during installation and
troubleshooting.
2. Soldering iron and solder: If any electrical connections need to be made or repaired.
