SCHOOLS DIVISION TRAINING WORKSHOP ON ESTABLISHING FUNCTIONAL

CHILD PROTECTION COMMITTEES (CPC) AND STRENGTHENING LEARNER
PROTECTION IN SCHOOLS

1. Relative to the Regional Memorandum No. 339, s. 2023, this Office will
conduct the Schools Division Training Workshop on Establishing Functional Child
Protection Committees (CPC) and Strengthening Learner Protection in Schools on
October 11-12, 2023 at the City of Meycauayan Convention Center, Poblacion, City
of Meycauyan, Bulacan.

2. The objectives of this training are the following:

a. to reorient the schoolheads on the DepEd policies and issuances related to

learner rights and protection, the policies and guidelines in protecting
children against all types of abuse, and the case management protocols;

b. to capacitate the schoolheads in making the school child protection

committee functional and strengthen the implementation of learner
protection programs in their respective schools;

c. to help the participants in incorporating preventive and protective

measures to address child abuse, exploitation, violence, discrimination,
bullying and other acts of abuse.
3. Participants in this training are the schoolheads of public and private
elementary, secondary and integrated schools.

4. Enclosure No. 1 and 2 contains the training matrix and work committee.

5. This Schools Division Memorandum serves as the approved locator slip of the
participants.
