ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

TITLE OF
ACTIVITY UGNAYAN NG MGA GURO AT PINUNO 2023
This activity aims to achieve the following objectives:
OBJECTIVES
a. To set the strategic direction of the SDO for SY. 2023-2024;
b. To orient new teachers on the new DepEd Merit Selection Plan
(MSP and Recruitment Selection & Appointment (RSA);
c. To strengthen the connection between teaching and non-
teaching personnel;
d. To address inter-agency concerns in a real time setup;
e. To orient teachers & non-teaching personnel on the proper
handling of financial obligations.

Ugnayan ng mga Guro at Pinuno conducted last August 17, 2023,

as stipulated under Schools Division Memorandum No. 314, s. 2023
aims to improve ties between educational leaders and its personnel
through a ‘kumustahan’ arrangement. This program also became an
avenue for teachers to engage in a meaningful discussion and gain
new insights about important topics.
Highlights of The seminar commenced at exactly 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon
the Activity
with a warm opening remark from Atty. Dominique L. Guison,
Attorney III of SDO-Malolos.

The discussion of the first session was led by the Schools Division
Superintendent. Madam Leilani Samson Cunanan, CESO V. She
explained the SDO Malolos City’s Strategic Direction Aligned with
DepEd’s Matatag Agenda for this school year 2023-2024. Madam
Leilani elaborated the four (4) critical components of MATATAG Agenda
and the four (4) pillars namely access, equity, quality, and resiliency
which aims top address the current challenges the education sector
faces.

The second session was discussed by the PAO Chief of Malolos City
Downtown Bulacan District Office, Atty. Bernard Jonathan L.

Gatchalian. During his session with the teachers, he clarified the legal
implications of non-payment of Just Debts and Child Abuse. He
reminded that a willful failure to pay just debts is one of the grounds
for disciplinary actions, including suspension of termination from
work.

It is then followed by the third session which deliberated by Mr.

Jose John H. Rivera, the Division Chief of GSIS Bulacan. Mr. Rivera
enlightened teachers about GSIS Membership, Contribution Rate, and
retirement laws. He also answered frequently asked questions (FAQs)
and concerns of DepEd teachers.

Our Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Madam Rowena T.

Quiambao, CESO VI led the fourth session of the program. Madam
Quiambao expounded the DepEd Order No. 19 s. 2022-Merit Selection
Plan (MSP). She also discussed to teachers the Overview of DepEd
Order No. 07, s. 2023- Guidelines on Recruitment, Selection, and
Appointment in the Department of Education.

The last session of the program was addressed by Mr. William C.

Dionisio, Administrative V of SDO Malolos. He talked about the
personal welfare and benefits of teachers which teachers find useful.

The seminar concluded with a closing remark from Mr. William C.

Dionisio. He expressed his gratitude to the speakers, facilitators,
management team, and attendees for their active support and
involvement in the program. A feedback survey was distributed to all
participants to gather their thoughts on the seminar's content,
organization, and impact. The event reaffirmed the importance of
engagement, continuous learning and the role of dedicated educators
in shaping the future of education.
