Sidexis 4 Installation

1. Close all running programs.

2. Log into the computer as the Administrator.
3. Create the PDATA folder on the root of whichever drive the office prefers. Share the
PDATA folder to Everyone with Full Control.
4. Create a subfolder under PDATA and label it Sidexis 4 Install Files.
5. Copy the installation files from the DVD to the Sidexis 4 Install Files folder.
6. Right-mouse click on Autorun and select Run as administrator.

7. Select Sidexis 4.

 8. Select Database: MS SQL Server
Express. This process will take a
while and may prompt for a restart
of the Server. Once the computer
has restarted the installation window
should reappear.

9. Select Sidexis 4 Server.

11. Check the box for I accept the

terms in the License
Agreement and select Next.

 18. Select Next if PDATA will be stored on the
same machine as the Sidexis Server.

19. Check the box for I confirm that I have

read the notice and select Next.

 20. Do not select the option to Import demo
data unless the office prefers to have it.
Select Next.

 22. Select Yes once the server provisioning
success window appears. Select No if
the office does not want the client
installed on the Sidexis 4 Server.

 26. Verify that Sidexis can now be launched on the server.
27. To install the workstations browse across the network to
\\SidexisServer\PDATA\Setup\Sidexis4 and right-mouse click on Autorun and select
Run as administrator. Follow the Client installation prompts.
