What does a Career mean?

Career is the occupation or job that is done by a person or a group to achieve the material and non-
material benefits

My three careers that I want to do in the future is…

- Astronaut
- Doctor
- And Geologist

Astronaut

- An astronaut is a person who is specially trained to travel into outer space. Astronauts
aboard a spacecraft may have different responsibilities. They are experts and are capable to
go outer space, outside the Earth’s atmosphere.

The skills that you will need-in-order to be an Astronaut

1. Operating or piloting spacecraft.


2. Monitoring and evaluating spacecraft systems and processes.
3. Conducting spacewalks or operations in orbit.
4. Running experiments and scientific tests on spacecraft.
5. Communicating with people back on earth on a regular basis.
6. Installing, maintaining, or repairing equipment, software, and hardware.
7. Contributing to daily life inside the spacecraft, such as making food and clearing out waste
systems.

What education or training would you need for an Astronaut?

1.Possess a master's degree* in a STEM field, including engineering, biological science, physical
science, computer science or mathematics*The master's degree requirement can also be met by:
2.Two years of work toward a doctoral program in a related science, technology, engineering or
math field.
3.A completed Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
4.Completion of a nationally recognized test pilot school program.
5. skills in leadership, teamwork and communications.
6.Have at least two years of related professional experience obtained after degree completion or at
least 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time on jet aircraft.
7.Be able to pass the NASA long-duration flight astronaut physical.

Why I think being an astronaut will be suitable for me.


I feel like I am capable and suitable of being an astronaut hence I am extremely passionate on the
study of outer space. There are many things that are yet to be discovered. Studying and learning
about our universe extremely attracts me.

My second career I am interested in is being a doctor


A doctor is someone who maintains or restores human health through the practice of medicine. He
or she faces the challenge of diagnosing and treating human disease, ailments, injuries, pain, or
other conditions.

1. Prescribing medication correctly
2. Physically administering treatments
3. Interpreting laboratory results
4. Assessing symptoms
5. Providing follow-up care

My third choice is to be a Geologist
-The science that deals with the earth's physical structure and substance, its history, and the
processes that act on it.

The odds of getting into geology are very good. Because people have woken up to our dwindling
