you are here.
4. Review
Please listen carefully,.

I have here some questions. You are going to

translate each mathematical sentence into a division Yes Teacher!
sentence, then you will be going to divide it.
Understood?
Yes Teacher!
For our first mathematical sentence, divide 9
by 3. What is the quotient? Yes Ms.Detal? 9÷3 =3
Show your answer please.

Do you agree with Ms.Detal answer? Yes Teacher!

Very Good! Mr. Ms.Detal answer is correct!
Listen, what is the quotient if 400 is divided by
40? Yes Mr. Villareal? 400 ÷ 40 = 10

Very Good! Your answer is correct!

Next, 200 is divided by 5. What is the
quotient? Yes Ms.Paat? 200 ÷ 5 = 40
Very Good!
Your all answer is correct! Great!

5. Motivation

(Showing the real Pizza)

Guest what I have?
I Pizza Teacher,
Very Well said If would take divide it into 8 , and It’s 1/8 po Tescher
give 1 to our 1 student what it would be in fraction?

Very good ! Now if I take 1 pizza again what would be

2/8 po Tacher
fraction is now ?

What if it has a 1 whole pizza? What fraction is it? 1 2/8 Teacher

Excellent! What if I Divided the 1 whole pizza in 8 also 10/8 po teacher

what fraction is it now?

Very good! Now ,Who can give me the parts of fraction? Sir , Fraction has a Numerator and Denominator.

Very well said.

A. Lesson Proper
a. Activity
Now that you already know how to translate
mathematical sentence into a division sentence,
let’s proceed. Yes Teacher!
Listen carefully for the instruction. Write P if the
given term is a proper fraction. I if it is improper
fraction, and M if it is a mixed number. Before None Teacher!
we start is there any question?
1. 6/11 What is the answer? Is it P, I or M?
1. P Teacher or proper fraction.
Very Good!
2. 1 2/7 What is your answer? 2. M Teacher!

Very Good!
3. 15/6 What is your answer? 3. I Teacher or improper fraction.
Very Good!
4. P Teacher!
4. 3/8 What is your answer?
5. 7/18 What is your answer? Very Good! 5. P Teacher!

6. 3/4 What is your answer? Very Good! 6. P Teacher!

7. 1 ¼ What is your answer? Very Good! 7. M Teacher!

8. 7/4 What is your answer? Very Good! 8. I Teacher

9. 18/5 What is your answer? Very Good! 9. I Teacher

10. 2 3/5 What Is your answer? 10. M Teacher

Very Good! I’ll give you a heart react

because you are all amazing!

a. Analysis
Let the student share their answers at the class.

What are the numbers has the same answers? P=1,4,5,6 I=3,8,9 M=2,7,10

Which numbers has greater value of denominator 1,4,5,6 Teacher!

than numerator?

Then put their corresponding fraction? 6/11. 3/8, 7/18 and ¾ Teacher

Which numbers has a greater numerator value 3,8,9 po, Teacher!

than denominator?

Then put their corresponding fraction? 15/6, 7/4 and 18/5

Which numbers has a whole number beside? 2,7, and 10 Teacher

and their fraction?

Then put their corresponding fraction? 1 2/7, 1 ¼ and 2 3/5

What did you observe? There is a three kind of set of fraction Teacher.

Very Good!

b. Abstract

In today’s lesson, you will be going to learn about

fractions and its kind. I have here a video clip about
fractions and its kind. I want you to focus on the screen.
Now that you have an insight about fractions and
its kinds. I will reiterate it for you to better
understand the following. Listen carefully.

In fraction there is what we called the

numerator and denominator, to simply
understand the parts of fraction always
Yes Teacher!
remember that the numerator is on the top of the
fraction while the denominator is the number
under the numerator. Understood?

To better understand the parts of fraction I

prepared an illustration, focus on the screen.

I will be going to reiterate, listen carefully. The

whole thing is what we called the? Fraction Teacher!

Very Good!

The numerator is the number we can see on the

top half of the fraction, and from our sample 20 Teacher!
illustration what do you think is the numerator?

Very Good!

Now, the number we can see on the bottom half Denominator Teacher!
of the fraction is what we called?
57 Teacher!
Very Good! And what do you think is the
denominator on the sample illustration?

Excellent!

Listen carefully, let’s proceed to the types of Yes Teacher!

fractions. Are you ready?

Who can give me the three types of fractions? Types of fractions. Proper fractions,
Yes Villanueva improper fractions, and mixed numbers.

Excellent!

Now listen carefully because I will be going to

discuss to you the types of fractions.

First is the proper fraction, we called proper

fraction if the numerator (number at the top of
the fraction) is smaller than denominator
(bottom number of the fraction)

The next type of fraction is the improper

fractions, improper fraction if the numerator is
larger than denominator or the opposite of the
proper fraction.

The third type of fraction is the mixed number,

mixed number is the whole number and a
fraction.

Is there any question or clarification? None Teacher!

If none I have a question, why is it important to

share or why sharing is important?
Anyone from the group? Yes Paat Furthermore, sharing can improve our
socialization towards others and there is a unity in
sharing that’s why it is important to share.

c. Application

State whether the following are proper fractions,

improper fraction, or mixed fraction

1. 2/5 1.Proper Fraction

2. 6/4 2. Improper Fraction

3. 5 8/9 3. Mixed Fraction

4. 12/9 4. Improper Fraction

5. ¼ 5. Proper Fraction

.IV. EVALUATION

Give the Fraction repsents by object and write

P for Proper Fraction , I for Improper Fraction and M
for Mixed Fraction.

1 1. ½ (Proper Frsction)

1. 2. 5/4 (Improper Fraction)

2. 3. 1 ¼ Mixed Fraction

3. 4. 1/4 (Proper Frsction)

4. 5. 4/3 (Imroper Fraction)

IV. ASSIGNMENT
