Now, let us define what sequence is. of new understanding
Sequence is a logical order or arrangement
of values defined by a general term or nth
term. The general term of a sequence
defines the characteristic of the whole
sequence. Every element in a sequence is (Student’s listen carefully)
called a term.
Examples:

1. Set of counting numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4,

2. Multiples of 7: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35,

There are two types of sequence. The finite
and infinite sequence.

Finite sequence is a sequence that contains a


finite number of terms. It will always end or
terminate. Example are the days of the week,
alphabet, and months in a year.

Infinite sequence is a sequence that contains


infinitely many terms. It will never end.
Example are the counting numbers, and every
other day.
