CHAPTER 1: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The internship report shall have only a one-page executive summary. It shall include five or more
Learning Objectives and Outcomes achieved, a brief description of the sector of business and intern
organization and summary of all the activities done by the intern during the period.
After I have completed my internship with Dixon Technologies, Pvt.Ltd, I hope that I would enhance my
skills from following perspectives:
Interpersonal Skills: I hope to enhance my interpersonal skills in a professional environment.
Interpersonal Skills would help me develop confidence and would also allow me to Network better.
Acquiring Knowledge of the Business Sector: Throughout the internship, a comprehensive
understanding of the core company was gained, including industry trends.
Developing Professional Skills: The internship provided an opportunity to enhance essential
professional skills such as effective communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving,
which are crucial for success in the workplace.
Applying Theoretical Concepts: Theoretical knowledge obtained during academic studies was applied
practically, allowing for the integration of classroom learning with real-world business scenarios and
challenges.
Gaining Industry Experience: By working closely with professionals in the field, practical insights
and industry-specific knowledge were gained, helping to bridge the gap between academic and the
workplace.
Intern Organization and Business Sector:
The internship was conducted at Dixon Technologies. Pvt.Ltd a leading Assembling company. It is
renowned for its commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and industry leadership.
Summary of Internship Activities:
During the internship period, a wide range of activities were undertaken, including:
 Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project management initiatives, ensuring
timely completion of deliverables.
 Participating in team meetings and discussions, actively contributing ideas and insights to solve
business challenges and improve operational efficiency.
 Shadowing experienced professionals and actively seeking mentorship opportunities to further
develop industry-specific knowledge and skills.
CHAPTER 2: OVERVIEW OF THE ORGANIZATION

A. Introduction: Dixon Technologies is an Indian multinational electronics manufacturing


services company, based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a contract manufacturer of televisions,
washing machines, smartphones, LED bulbs, battens, downlighters and CCTV security systems for
companies such as Samsung, Xiaomi, Panasonic and Philips. It has 17 manufacturing units in
India. The company is listed on BSE and NSE since its initial public offering in 2017.

B. Vision, Mission and Values of the Organization


 Vision: The vision of the company is to be the most preferred & trusted manufacturing & solution
partner to brands operating across verticals. The mission of the company is to strengthen the
customer partnerships by providing products and services of the greatest value through innovation

C. Policy of the Organization, in relation with the intern role: The organization is committed to
providing a supportive and inclusive environment for interns, fostering their professional growth and
development through hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for skill-building.
The organization's policy emphasizes equal opportunity, open communication, and the recognition of
interns as valuable contributors, ensuring their engagement in meaningful projects and exposure to
various aspects of the business.

D. Organizational Structure: The organizational structure of Dixon Technologies is designed to


promote effective communication, collaboration, and accountability, with clear lines of authority and
responsibility across departments and teams. The structure consists of multiple departments, each headed
by departmental manager, working together under the leadership of the executive team to drive the
organization's strategic goals and operational success.

E. Roles and responsibilities of the employees in which the intern is placed: The employees in the
intern's department are responsible for guiding and mentoring the intern, providing them with meaningful
tasks and projects, and ensuring their integration into the team while fostering a positive learning
environment.

F. Performance of the Organization in terms of turnover, profits, market reach and market value:
The organization has demonstrated consistent growth in turnover and profits, expanding its market reach
and increasing its market value, solidifying its position as a key player in the industry.

G. Future Plans of the Organization: The organization aims to further enhance its product/service
offerings, expand into new markets, and leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation and sustain
long-term growth.
CHAPTER 3: INTERNSHIP PART

Description of the Activities/Responsibilities in the Intern Organization during Internship, which shall
include - details of working conditions, weekly work schedule, equipment used, and tasks performed.
This part could end by reflecting on what kind of skills the intern acquired.

Activities/Responsibilities:
We are responsible for making the work in a proper way and make sure that no damage of product is
made so that there is no loss for the company. We are responsible of doing the given work in time and the
target is to be completed within the given time.

Working Conditions:

The working conditions provided a professional and collaborative environment, with opportunities for
learning and growth. The working conditions in our firm are very safe to work. It has proper ventilation
and it is surrounded by the pleasant environment.

Weekly Work Schedule & Equipments Used:

The intern followed a structured weekly work schedule, collaborating with different teams and
departments. The organization provided necessary equipments such as Electrostatic Discharge(ESD)
safety tools , Apron
Markers, scissors and access to relevant programming devices, enabling the intern to perform tasks
efficiently.

Tasks Performed:

The intern's tasks included pasting of solder on the PCBs, uploading of the relevant program for the NXT
machine of the required camera model, changing of reels of the components, making of the automatic
optical inspection, visual inspection is done for the assembled PCB, De-panelling is done for the boards
and testing is done so that the work is done perfectly or not.
Throughout the internship, the intern acquired valuable skills in market research, strategic
planning, project management, data analysis, and effective communication. They also developed
proficiency in using industry-specific tools and gained insights into the functioning of a professional
organization.

Skills Acquired:

Overall, the internship experience provided the intern with practical exposure to the business
environment, honed their analytical and problem-solving abilities, enhanced their teamwork and
communication skills, and equipped them with valuable industry knowledge and experience. We have
acquired the technical skills as well as analytical skills, hardworking nature and Discipline.
CHAPTER 5: OUTCOMES DESCRIPTION

Describe the work environment you have experienced (in terms of people interactions, facilities
available and maintenance, clarity of job roles, protocols, procedures, processes, discipline, time
management, harmonious relationships, socialization, mutual support and teamwork, motivation, space
and ventilation, etc.)

As an intern, we had a great experience while doing internship. We had learnt many things such as Time
management, Discipline, Hardworking nature etc. The work experience in the company is very pleasant
and peaceful. We are providing with proper Drinking water facilities, snacks etc.

A harmonious work environment encourages socialization, mutual support, and team work, fostering a
sense of friendliness among colleagues. Motivation is natured through recognition of achievements,
professional development opportunities, and positive work culture.

Facilities for relaxation and recreation are provided so that we were well beingly treated by the company
and our work life balance is good. Overall and ideal environment is provided so that we are very satisfied
as we got satisfied and we were improved in doing the work day by day.

The people from various states gathered at one place in the company, there is no gender bias over works
both the men and women are treated equally in doing the work. The line leaders more friendly with us so
that we have done the work so comfortably with ease. The work is also so much easy that doing the work
make the employee so much interested and no need of thinking about completion of the work time.

The shifts are present for the employees and people are divided into half for both the morning and night
shifts. Shifts are only the works that we kept but inside the company the work is going on all the day. Our
colleagues are more friendly with us so that we were not facing a single problem about the work. The
experienced workers helped us much more so that we learned doing the work very faster and the
experience of doing the work in that company is excellent.
Describe the real time technical skills you have acquired (in terms of the job-related skills and hands
on experience)

Real Time Skills Acquired:

We have got a very good knowledge about Microsoft excel, we have learnt about how the PCBs are
arranged and how the PCB is divided into sides as bottom and top sides, we have learned about how
exactly the solder is pasted and what happens if excess solder is pasted on the PCB.

We have learnt how to connect a LAN connection over a computer through IP address, and how the BOM
(Bill of Materials) are divided so that the products are separated according to them. We have acquired the
skills about how the SAP (System Application & Product in Data Processing) work is done.

Job Related Skills Acquired:

• We have got the knowledge of the regulatory standards that are present in the company.
• We acquired the knowledge of how to do screwing and attaching the components with the PCB.
• We acquired the analytical skills.
• Communication Skills.
• Self-management Skills.
• Team Work.
Describe the managerial skills you have acquired (in terms of planning, leadership, team work,
behaviour, workmanship, productive use of time, weekly improvement in competencies, goal setting,
decision making, performance analysis, etc.

I can assist with the topics such as planning, leadership, teamwork, goal setting, decision making,
performance analysis, and more. It’s important to note that while I strive to provide helpful insights,
practical managerial skills are typically developed through experience, training, and continuous
improvement. Consulting with experienced managers and utilising reliable resources are recommended
for comprehensive understanding and effective application of managerial skills.

I have acquired the following managerial skills during internship,

• I was able to plan how to complete the internship using the resources provided and acquire good
teamwork skills.
• I was able to manage time for studies like preparing gate, writing records, reading books after
returning to hostel.
• I was able to solve the issues raised while doing the work.
• I learnt faster decision-making skill in a critical situation
Describe how you could improve your communication skills (in terms of improvement in oral
communication, written communication, conversational abilities, confidence levels while
communicating, anxiety management, understanding others, getting understood by others, extempore
speech, ability to articulate the key points, closing the conversation, maintaining niceties and protocols,
greeting, thanking and appreciating others, etc.,)

I can offer some general suggestions for improving communication skills,

1.To enhance oral communication, practice active listening, maintain clarity and coherence in
speech, and seek opportunities to engage in public speaking or presentations.

2.Improve written communication skills by focusing on grammar, vocabulary, and organization


of ideas. Seek feedback and practice writing in various formats, such as reports, emails, and
essays.

3.Work on conversational abilities by practicing effective questioning, active engagement, and


empathy. Build confidence through regular interactions and exposure to diverse
conversations.

4.Manage anxiety by employing relaxation techniques, deep breathing exercises, and positive
elf-talk. Visualize successful communication scenarios to boost confidence.

5.Enhance understanding of others by practicing empathy, cultural sensitivity, and active


observation. Strive for clarity in expressing ideas and use appropriate non-verbal cues to
ensure others understand your message. Closing conversations with proper niceties,
greetings, thanking, and appreciating others can help foster positive relationships and
effective communication.
Describe how could you could enhance your abilities in group discussions, participation in teams,
contribution as a team member, leading a team/activity.

I can offer some general suggestions for enhancing abilities in group discussions and team
participation:

1.Actively engage in group discussions by listening attentively, respecting others'


perspectives, and offering thoughtful contributions that add value to the conversation.

2.Develop effective teamwork skills by fostering collaboration, building relationships, and


understanding the strengths and weaknesses of team members to leverage their skills.

3.Contribute as a team member by taking initiative, volunteering for tasks, and demonstrating
a proactive and supportive attitude towards achieving shared goals.

4.Develop leadership skills by taking on leadership roles or responsibilities within the team or
activity, showcasing effective decision-making, communication, and problem-solving
abilities.

I was able to express my feelings openly but non-threatening way. I was able to sense how others feel
based on their non-verbal communicating. I was actively participating in regular open communication in
which group members share thoughts, ideas, and feelings is a must for successful group work.

I was willingly encouraged myself about the doubts that I asked while I am doing work. I was able to
help my respective colleagues in their works. I was able to enhance my abilities in group discussions by
active participation in the sessions.
Describe the technological developments you have observed and relevant to the subject area of
training (focus on digital technologies relevant to your job role)

Following are the major technological developments that I have observed and are relevant to subject of
the electronics:

The overall electronic gadgets are playing a very much important role in our day-to-day life. Here this
company is mostly concentrated on the electronic gadgets that are now very much important for people.
The DAHUA software is used by this company which consists of the information about all the camera
models and this software is very much useful for assembling a full working camera.

CPPLUS cameras are made as their own emerging cameras and the software is copied from the website
name dahua.gks. That website consists of username and password which can be logged in at any time.
Each and every camera model information is present in that website and it is very much useful
technically.

Microsoft suite, now-a-days each and every work can be done using these ones. The calculations, editing,
and much more office work is done in the Microsoft suite such as Word, Excel, etc.

Finally, the Mac address, serial number, gb label, address label, bis logo, hologram, etc all these are
edited through the snipping tool software and those are printed successfully.
