*Please send your child’s school iPad back to school,

• CKLA: Students continued to work on sound/
spelling activities. Students focused on the sounds,
mouth positions, and lower case letter formations
for the consonants j, y, x, and k this week. We
added the “tricky word,” yellow. They also
practiced reading, copying, and illustrating more
phrases.
• Reading: Students practiced identifying key details
about characters and major events in a story. They
helped figure out word meanings in the story as
well.
• Math: Students practiced counting, extending
counting up to 40. They practiced addition and
subtraction story problems. Playing math games
with forest animals was fun too.

their coat on, zipping, buttoning, snapping, and tying
their shoes at home to help them become more

• Kindergarteners had a really busy week of learning and working together at school.
• “Winter Spirit Week” added to our excitement, counting down the school days to Winter Break!
Wearing character outfits, teacher clothes, winter hats, and pajamas or comfy clothes was really
fun this week!
• Kindergarteners successfully completed their hearing screenings at school on Tuesday morning.
• Students liked doing the gingerbread house activity with our buddies in Mr. Ponzetti’s 3rd grade
class on Wednesday afternoon.
• Today we had a fun school spirit assembly this morning with our Tiger mascot. We also played “All
School” BINGO this afternoon!
