• We had a busy week of working and learning together in Kindergarten.
• The iRead Kick-Off Event is TOMORROW, Saturday, January 20th at the Highland Park Public
Library from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. *I will be there from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
• The iRead informational notes were sent home in your child’s blue Home folder yesterday. Please
record books and minutes spent reading at home with your child on the green recording form.
• Students will have an early 1:40 p.m. dismissal next Friday, January 26th.
• Kindergarteners will be able to exchange valentine cards in class next month. Please remember if
you plan to send valentines to school, your child must have one valentine for each child in our class.
We have twenty friends in our class. Please do not write classmates’ names on them, just have your
child sign their first name. Unfortunately, food/sweet treats may NOT be included with the
valentine cards.
