INTRODUCTION
Banaras Hindu University or better known as BHU is one of the prestigious universities
in India. It comprises 140 departments, 3 institutes, 14 facilities, 4 interdisciplinary
centres, 3 constituent schools and one internal women’s college. BHU offers numerous
courses ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate. To pursue their desired
undergraduate course in BHU, students have to qualify for Banaras Hindu University
Undergraduate Entrance Test or known as BHU UET. It is a national level entrance exam
conducted by Banaras Hindu University. BHU offers a total of 5216 seats for admission
in the undergraduate programmes. The application forms are released on the official
website of BHU bhuonline.in. The admission process of BHU UET is totally computer
based. Candidates can visit the official website bhuonline.in to fill and submit the
application form before the last date of submission. The entrance exam is conducted
in the third week of August. The results are declared on the official website of Banaras
Hindu University. After the results are released qualified candidates have to submit the
admission form as part of the counselling process. Based on the preferences filled
in the admission form, candidates are alloted the colleges in the admission list. The
organizing institute releases upto three admission lists for filling the vacant seats in
the participating institutes. A final offer letter is sent to the candidates after the final
admission list post which the admission process is closed.

Step 1. Registration
• Visit the official website of BHU and click on ‘Apply for Admission’ for registration.
• Click on ‘Register Yourself’
• Enter the details such as Email ID, password, personal details. Then, click on the ‘Sign up’ option.
Step 2. Filling the Identification Details
• Candidates need to provide every detail in this section in a proper way. This section is for the
identification of the candidate’s identity.

Step 3. Course-selection
• Applicants have to select the course/programmes for which they wish to apply for. In order
to know the eligibility criteria of the selected course, the candidates may also click on ‘Check
Eligibility’ to know if they are eligible.

In the BHU UET admit card, candidates will find important particulars like their name,
date of birth, their father’s name, exam centre location, roll no, desired programme,
reporting time, and exam day guidelines and instructions. Candidates must make sure
that every detail mentioned in the BHU UET admit card is correct.
In case, if aspirants find any discrepancy in their admit card then they must contact the
officials of the university to get the details rectified as soon as possible. It is mandatory
for candidates to bring the BHU UET admit card to the exam centre along with a photo
ID proof (Adhar card, Pan card, Voter ID and Driving license). Candidates should make
multiple print outs of their admit card to avoid any hassle on the exam day.
Step 2: Click on the “Admit Card UET” tab. The following window will appear.
Step 4: Click on the “Search” button. The following window will appear on the screen.
Step 6: BHU UET admit card will appear on the screen and ready for download.
Step 7: BHU admit card download can be printed and retained for future use.

You can also get access to the provisional answer key of BHU UET directly from the
official website for which you have to follow the steps below.

• Login into the portal using a registered email id and password to challenge the answer key.
• Candidates can now check the link of the question paper in which they had appeared in the
entrance test. As soon as the candidate will click on the link, they will be able to see the answer
key, question paper and the answer marked by the candidate.
• Go to the objection section of the portal and select the question id from the drop-down you want
to raise an objection to challenge the answer key. After selecting the question id, candidates
will be able to see different types of objections related to the question, select any one or more
by clicking on the checkbox.
• Click on “Save Your Claims”.
• Upload the documents required by clicking on ‘Choose File’.
• Further, click on ‘Pay Fee and Save your Claims’.
• Pay the processing fee in the online mode by clicking on ‘Click here to Pay the Fee’
• Candidates need to raise the objections within the stipulated time. No objections will be con-
sidered after the last date of challenging BHU UET answer key for UG courses.
• They need to pay a sum of Rs.100 as a processing fee for challenging every answer. The pay-
ment can be done either by credit card, debit card or net banking. No other mode of payment
will be accepted for making the payment of processing fee.
• If the objection is found to be valid, the processing fee will be refunded to the same account
• The subject experts of the university will evaluate the objections made by the candidates.
• BHU UET answer key will be released by the university after taking all objections into account.

Candidates can check the merit list of BHU UET by following the mentioned steps.
• Click on the official link (the link will be activated as soon as the merit list will be published)
• Click on the BHU UET merit list pdf.
• Download the merit list of BHU UET available in the form of pdf.
• Take the printout of the BHU UET merit list.
• Candidates whose scores in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10 +2 or equivalent exam) are
higher will be allotted a higher rank. In case of B.Sc. programme, the aggregate of marks
obtained in only science subjects will be considered.
• In case the qualifying percentage of candidates are also the same, then their marks in the
concerned subject in the qualifying exam will be considered. Candidates with higher marks
will be given preference.
• If the tie still persists, candidates older in age will be given more preference in merit list of BHU
UET.
• Candidates will be invited for the counselling session in the form of call letters sent to their
registered accounts with BHU on the basis of their rank and category.

BHU UET shortlisted candidates for counselling have to undergo three stages to finalize
their admissions – filling online options, seat allotment, reporting at the allotted college.
The admissions of the candidates in BHU UET counselling is done on the basis of merit
index against the available seats.
The final admissions of the shortlisted candidates will be done after the candidates
meet all the eligibility requirements.
