Tie Breaker of BHU UET Merit List

In order to resolve any such situation where two or more candidates score the same
marks in the entrance exam the university uses BHU UET result tie breaking criteria.
Candidates can check below the criteria adopted by the university to break the tie -

• Candidates whose scores in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10 +2 or equivalent exam) are
higher will be allotted a higher rank. In case of B.Sc. programme, the aggregate of marks
obtained in only science subjects will be considered.
• In case the qualifying percentage of candidates are also the same, then their marks in the
concerned subject in the qualifying exam will be considered. Candidates with higher marks
will be given preference.
• If the tie still persists, candidates older in age will be given more preference in merit list of BHU
UET.
• Candidates will be invited for the counselling session in the form of call letters sent to their
