Citation of Hon. (Chief) Ada Charles Egwu
Hon Ada Egwu is a unique personality and a woman of many parts who exhibits outstanding
leadership qualities and commitment to any assigned duty. In 2011, the Chairman of Biase Local
Government Council, Onun (Dr) Emil Inyang appointed her Chairman of Biase Urbanization and
Sanitation Agency (BUSA) and she had to put down her beloved chalk and duster to take up the
appointment. This has changed the trajectory of her life.

In 2014, following her sterling performance and a nod to her worth, proven dedication to duties
and her passion for service to humanity in the past government, the new Chairman of Biase
Local Government Council, Hon. Enebiene Ndem Ana, appointed her Supervisor for Education
and halfway into her tenure, a colleague of hers resigned as Supervisor for Environment and
the Council Chairman directed Hon. Egwu to coordinate affairs in the Department of
Environment, and she handled the extra load for about a year and with admirable finesse. In
2015, her intellectual and sterling record of public service attracted the attention of the Cross
River State Government as the State Governor, Senator Professor Ben Ayade appointed her as
Commissioner in the Cross River State Local Government Service Commission (CRSLGSC).

where she cruised to a landslide victory in the Local Government Elections and was sworn in on
June 2, 2020 with aesthetic record to her credit.
