A. Problems being addressed:

1. Cleaning agents used may be hazardous to health

2. Some Cleaning agents are expensive and unavailable to the community

3. Cleaning agents in the market are harmful to the environment

B. Goals/ Expected Outcomes

This study aims to determine the effects of Malunggay leaves as an alternative cleaning

agent. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions:

1. Can the malunggay leaves be an effective cleaning agent on common household

stains?

2. Is the cleaning agent suitable in replacing the commercial one?

3. Is there a significant difference of malunggay leaves extract utilized as alternative

cleaning agent

4. Is there a significant difference between a malunggay leaves than the commercial

one?

B. Hypothesis:

1. There will be no significant difference of malunggay leaves extract utilized as

alternative cleaning agent

2. There is no significant difference between a malunggay leaves than the commercial

one?
C. Significance of the Study:

This study in general focuses on the effects of using malunggay leaves as a cleaning

agent. Specifically, its goal is to ascertain the malunggay leaves efficacy in common stains found

in homes. The result of this study may be a great significance to the following:

Community. This study will benefit the community by introducing an alternative source

of cleaning agent that could help them in their activities of daily living. This study produces a

cheap and user-friendly renewable cleaning agent which cannot harm the health of the people

and the environment.

Household. This study will be a great importance for households in generating alternative

source of cleaning agent. It can also minimize the cost of their expenses while utilizing this

cleaning agent.

School Institutions. This study will benefit the school institutions as this will be useful for

the school administrators in encouraging their students to engage in scientific discoveries and

innovations. Through this, there will be progress in scientific fields.

Students. The students will greatly benefit upon this study especially those who are in

special science as this will give additional knowledge that can probably inspire their minds to

explore and discover innovations and strategies in generating more scientific discoveries.

Future Researchers. This study will serve as a reference for the researchers planning to

study further about the potential of malunngay as an alternative cleaning agent. In this study, the

future researchers will be able to have background knowledge about this topic.
