Part 1. Required Forms For All Researchers

3.Research plan
A. Rationale
The search for sustainable alternatives in the bleaching industry is driving research into using
busbusilak, a natural bleaching chemical, to harness the power of nature. Because of their
chemical makeup, traditional bleaching solutions frequently present threats to the environment
and human health. The natural material busbusilak offers a chance to investigate a more
environmentally responsible option. The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of
busbusilak as a bleaching agent while evaluating its prospective uses, cost-effectiveness, and
influence on the environment. By being aware of its characteristics and capabilities, we may help
industries that depend on bleaching processes create ecologically friendly procedures.

B. Research Question Or Problem

The purpose of this research is to determine the efficacy of Busbusilak (Tabernaemontona
pandacaqui) leaves as a bleaching agent. The primary questions driving this investigation are as
follows: first, determining the efficacy of Busbusilak leaves as a bleaching agent; second,
identifying any significant differences between Busbusilak's bleaching capabilities and those of
commercial bleaching agents; and third, determining the feasibility of obtaining the necessary
components for creating the Busbusilak bleaching agent. Through these questions, the study
hopes to shed light on the potential of Busbusilak leaves as a natural and cost-effective bleaching
agent.

C. Hypothesis
The researchers were guided by the view of the efficacy of the Busbusilak
(tabernaemontana panacaqui) leaves as a bleaching agent and also its impact of the product to
the environment.

D. Glass/ Expected Outcomes

his research study aims to achieve a number of key objectives and expected outcomes. First,
through rigorous scientific experimentation and analysis, the investigation aims to
comprehensively assess the efficacy of Busbusilak leaves as a bleaching agent. Second, it intends
to compare the performance of Busbusilak leaves with that of commercial bleaching agents,
elucidating potential benefits and drawbacks. Furthermore, the study aims to assess the
ecological impact of using Busbusilak leaves, with a focus on their sustainability and reduced
environmental footprint. Furthermore, determining the affordability of obtaining and utilizing the
components required for the Busbusilak-based bleaching agent is critical. Finally, the study
hopes to provide valuable insights that will lead to the practical application of Busbusilak leaves
as a natural and environmentally friendly bleaching solution, potentially benefiting both industry
and environmental conservation efforts.

E. Research Methods/ Procedures/ Risks & Safety

The Busbusilak leaves were gathered from Pantay Tamorong Caoayan Ilocos Sur then the
materials were prepared, then 500ml of water was added in a mixing bowl. After that the
Busbusilak leaves were mashed using mortar and pestle and was added into the mixture, 5grams
of chlorine and baking soda and the Busbusilak liquid were added, settled it for 3hrs, strained all
the liquid in another bowl and let it settle for another 3hrs then the mixture was strained leaving
the cloudy part behind and lastly the mixture was placed it in the container to be ready for the
respondents.

5.Abstract

Stains are dirty marks on clothing that are not easily removed. Many people in our
country and mostly adults or parents are looking for cheap and effective products to remove
these stains. Parents who are having a hard time with washing clothes will be benefited by the
utilization of the product natural bleaching agent made out of Busbusilak leaves
(Tabernaemontona pandacaqui,)

For the procedure, the Busbusilak leaves were collected and cleaned thoroughly, the
ingredients were added one by one in a bowl with water then the mixture was stirred, and was
left covered for a few hours then strained it leaving the cloudy part behind then placed in the
container ready for use.

The findings of the study are as follows: There is the presence of disinfectants in the
product. It is also long lasting. The product is interpreted as highly acceptable based on the rates
of the terms aroma, volume, efficiency and antisepticising ability.

The researchers concluded are that the ingredients used for the production of the product
is safe, it contains disinfectant products for the germs, fragrant smell and the product lasts long.
Based on the tests or experiments its aroma, volume, efficiency and antisepticising ability. The
researchers recommend that the product should be recommended to others especially to parents
or adults and researchers should also further study on this product in order to improve it. The
researchers also recommend to add new products or ingredients to improve its quality. Other
tests or samples should be experimented on so alternatives could be considered. It should also be
recommended to the public. Thus we should be encouraged to plant more of these plants for the
bleaching agent product.
