these obstacles empowers us to overcome them and move
forward with greater clarity and purpose.

GOAL WHEEL

This is my favorite exercise to do at the end of each year. The


goal wheel is a tool that helps you assess different areas of
your life and set goals accordingly. It involves rating various
aspects of your life on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being
extremely dissatisfied and 5 being extremely satisfied.

THE AREAS TO BE RATED INCLUDE:

Business (your feelings about your work,

career, or business effectiveness and success)

Friends (your social life, friendships, and

support system)

Personal Passions (personal passion projects,

hobbies, or fun activities that fulfill you)

Spiritual (this can be interpreted in any way


04 you like, such as your faith, mental health,
personal journeys, or mindset)

05 Health (your physical health and wellness).

Once you’ve rated each area, you can visualize your


satisfaction levels in the form of a wheel - hence the name
“Goal Wheel”. The fuller the circle, the better. You can then
identify areas where you’re less satisfied and set goals to
improve these areas.

This exercise is a simple way to check in with


yourself and see where you might want to focus your
goal-setting efforts. You can repeat it over time to
track your progress and see how far you’ve come.

CREATING A GOAL FOR 2024

What do you want to achieve by the end of 2024? This


could be related to any area of your life - career,
personal, health, relationships, etc. Make sure this goal
is really important to you and aligns with your long-
term vision.

Your goal should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable,


Relevant, and Time-bound. For example, if your goal is
career-related, it could be “By the end of 2024, I want to be
promoted to a managerial position in my current company.”
Update your goals to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable,
Relevant and Time-bound below to create your goals.

ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS

Break your goal into smaller, manageable tasks. This could


be yearly, monthly, or even weekly tasks that will help you
reach your ultimate goal. While your ultimate deadline is the
end of 2024, set smaller deadlines for your tasks. This will
keep you motivated and help you track your progress.

EMBRACING ACCOUNTABILITY AND


PROGRESS TRACKING

Accountability is a powerful tool on the journey of self-


improvement. Establishing an accountability system, such as
partnering with a friend or keeping a personal journal, can
significantly enhance your commitment to your goals. This
system serves as a constant reminder of your responsibilities
and the promises you’ve made to yourself.

Regularly tracking your progress is equally important. It


allows you to see how far you’ve come and what adjustments
might be needed to keep moving forward. Remember, it’s
okay to modify your plans as needed. The key is to stay
focused on your ultimate goal and be flexible in how you get
there.

Lastly, don’t forget to celebrate your small wins along the


way. Each step forward, no matter how small, is a victory
worth celebrating. These celebrations not only boost your
morale but also reinforce your commitment to your journey
of self-improvement.

Remember, accountability and progress tracking are not


about being perfect. They’re about being honest with
yourself, staying committed to your goals, and celebrating
your journey every step of the way.

ACCOUNTABILITY CHECKLIST
Help yourself stay accountable! Use this checklist to mark
off these accountability techniques once you have started.

Find an Accountability Partner: This could be a close


friend, family member, or partner. Share your goals STARTED
