Tabagon girl’s secondary school is devoted to helping individuals achieve excellence while
building on character and moral values. The school is a Christian institution guided by AIC
doctrines.

You must come with full fees as indicated in the fee structure attached on reporting day. Cash
payment or personal cheques are not accepted. All fees to be deposited on the school bank

LOCATION AND DIRECTION

Our school is located in Baringo county, Baringo Central sub-county. It is about 6km from
Tenges shopping centre and 26 kilometres from Kabarnet town.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE BROUGHT DURING ADMISSION DAY

1. Admission letter with all the pages duly filled, signed and stamped in the appropriate places.
2. Originals of Knec online result slip, Primary leaving certificate and Birth certificate.

3. 2 Copies of knec online result slip, birth certificate and primary leaving certificate.

4. 2 Passport size photos colored (recent) label from behind.

5. Enough soap detergents (Bathing and cleaning), tooth paste and tooth brush, rolls of toilet paper.

6. Enough Underpants and toilet papers (at least 5), two padlocks, a bucket & 10 liter jerrycan

7. Enough biro pens, pencils, rubbers, 30cm ruler, oxford geometrical set,

8. Metallic medium strong box, two student blankets 137cm x 203 cm and Light blue bed cover.

9. Student size mattress 4”inch (blue medium density), a pair of light blue bed sheets, and
mackintosh if necessary.

10. A pair of Low heeled Black leather shoes (with laces), a pair of normal bathroom slippers, a pair
of white rubber shoes (Bata bullet with laces) and Light blue night dress.

SCHOOL RULES & REGULATIONS

PUNCTUALITY

a) All students are expected to be punctual at all times when attending any school function as per the
school routine.

b) The school routine MUST be adhered to the latter

c) All students reporting to school from home MUST arrive not later than 4.00 pm failure to which, they
will be sent home to bring her parent/guardian to explain the late coming.

2) PERSONAL CLEANLINESS AND GENERAL CONDUCT

a) All students must always be clean, neat and tidy. They must always be dressed in appropriate school
uniform with well-combed natural hair.
b) Students are NOT allowed to use make-ups, nail vanish or to wear jewellery or strong perfumes. Such
items shall be confiscated and the owner punished by doing manual work like flower bed weeding,
cleaning classrooms, stone collection e.t.c.

c) Lending and/or borrowing of personal belongings is prohibited. Such items shall be confiscated.

d) Students MUST not steal. Those found guilty of the same shall be sent home and be required to come
back with a parent/guardian to discuss her conduct and later referred to Guiding & Counseling.

e) Home clothes are NOT permitted at school. Proper uniform must be worn at all times. Games kits can
only be worn during games time and during P.E lessons. Those found violating this rule shall be punished
by doing manual work in the field. Home clothes shall be confiscated and donated to the needy people in
society.

g) Sneaking from or into school is an offense punishable by a suspension. Upon serving suspension such
students shall report back with their parent/guardian to discuss their conduct. They shall also be required
to buy for the school a roll of barbed wire. Permission to be out of school for any reason shall be sought
from the Principal, Deputy Principal or the teacher of duty.

h) Cell phones, thermos flasks, sim cards, memory cards, audio and visual CDs and DVDs and any other
electronic gadgets are NOT allowed in school. Such contraband items shall be confiscated and never
returned to the owner.

i) Every student must be responsible for her property. All personal items must be kept appropriately. Any
item found misplaced shall be confiscated.

j) All students shall be involved in undertaking the general cleanliness of places allocated during the
stipulated time. Students violating this rule shall be punished by doing more manual work.

k) All students MUST adhere to the running and language policies as laid down by the school to enhance
good time management and academic performance.

3. STUDENTS’ CONDUCT IN THE DINING HALL

a) The school kitchen is out of bounds to all students.

b) Attendance at meals is compulsory. All meals must be consumed in the dining hall. Food should not be
taken from the dining hall to the dormitories or classes.

c) Games kits MUST NOT be worn in the dining hall.


d) There is no provision for special meals to students. However with a genuine medical report from a
government doctor, the parent/guardian may be called to discuss the possibilities of a special arrangement.
Any extra cost arising from such arrangements shall be done by the parent/guardian.

e) Those found violating these rules shall be punished by cleaning the dining hall.

4. STUDENTS’ CONDUCT IN THE DORMITORIES

a) Students are NOT allowed to take visitors to the dormitories.

b) All students must stick to their allocated houses.

c) Dorms must be kept clean and beds must always be neatly made.

d) No cooked food is allowed in the dorms.

e) No student is allowed in the dormitories unless during the stipulated time. Lights must be switched off
as per the school routine.

f) Violation of the above rules is punishable by cleaning in and around the dormitories.

5. STUDENTS’ CONDUCT IN CLASSa) All lessons must be attended to. Any absence from a lesson
must be brought to the attention of the subject teacher and/or the class teacher and the school
administration

b) All exams are mandatory and absence from a scheduled exam must be brought to the attention of the
subject teacher and/or class teachers.

c) Exam malpractice is an offense. Offenders shall be suspended and their parents/guardians invited to the
school to discuss their conduct.

d) Noise-making in class is an offense punishable by cleaning the respective class and/or its environs.

e) Classrooms and all other rooms used for learning must be kept clean and tidy at all times.

6. SCHOOL PROPERTY

a) Utmost care must be taken upon the school property. Vandalizing, defacing, forging, stealing or any
malicious damage to any school property is punishable by replacing or repairing the item in question. Lost
text books and class exercise books shall be replaced immediately by those responsible.

b) Lights and water taps must always be turned off when not in use.

7. CO-CURRICULAR
a) Participation in school co-curricular activities is mandatory to all students. Any student who must be
excused MUST obtain written permission from a doctor, the principal or respective teacher in charge.
Each MUST enroll as a member of a club/society.

b) During P.E lessons and games, the students must be in proper games attire.

8. SICKNESS

a) Any sickness must be reported immediately to the student councilor in charge of health and sanitation,
matron, nurse or teacher on duty.

b) In cases requiring further specialized treatment, respective parent/guardian shall be called upon to
facilitate such treatment.

c) Any sick student who requires further specialized treatment MUST be picked by the parent/guardian
from the school and taken for such.

9. VISITORSa) All visitors must register at the school main gate.

b) Students are not allowed to interact with visitors unless with permission of the teacher on duty, deputy
principal or the principal and with a reason.c) News on bereavement shall be handled by the

parent/guardian directly to the principal and never directly to the student. Only the affected student will be
allowed to go home in the company of the bearer of the information.

10. PLACES OUT OF BOUNDS

a) Staff quarters are out of bounds to all students

b) All laboratories are out of bounds to all students unless in the company of a teacher or a technician
responsible for that laboratory.

c) Staff offices are out of bounds unless with permission

d) Demonstration plots are out of bounds to all students except those currently undertaking Agriculture
projects.

11. SUNDAY SERVICE

Sunday service is mandatory to all students who must be in full school uniform and carry with them a
bible and a hymn book (golden bells).

12. CONSEQUENCES
In cases where a consequence is not specified, violation of such rule shall be punishable by doing manual
work or the student involved may be referred to the Guidance and Counseling department for further
guidance.
