ABSTRACT
Basically, both oil wells and gas wells have the ability to flow fluids naturally when the well is
being produced for the first time. A well can lift fluid to the surface naturally because the
pressure from the reservoir is still able to lift the fluid to the surface. To determine the ability of a
reservoir owned by a well, it is necessary to conduct well testing. In the last decade, the number
of publications related to this topic has shown an increase. This topic aims to study how well test
activities are carried out to determine reservoir performance and reservoir characteristics.
Bibliometric analysis was carried out on various related publications to obtain information
related to changing trends and updates in the topic. To analyze this topic, published literature
data from 2012-2022 was searched for scrutiny from the collection of Google Scholar publishers.
Search using the keyword oil well test. VOSviewer is used as software to perform analysis of the
publications being searched. The results of the study using VOSviewer showed that from 780
publications related to this topic, the keyword "oil well" with a total link strength of 105 times
and a total of 78 occurrences.
Keywords: Bibliometric analysis, oil well test.
