AND PRESSURE.)
(Conversation between Adhithi mother and the relative aunty.)
ADHITHI MOTHER: Leave the topic and how is your daughter in law. Is
there any happy news?
GEETHA: Achooo Why are making me angry by asking that question to
me? There is no good news at all I am just wandering to each and every
fertility hospital by taking her with me.
ADHITHI MOTHER: Why? What is the matter?
GEETHA: You know one thing my daughter in law is a cheat who has
hidden that she had mensturation problem even before the marriage. She is
even more bold to hide this matter from my son too. Now see I am in
trouble and does all the work which are to be done by her parents. It’s all
my fate.

(Adhithi was in confused stage. She comes out of her room and goes to
her mother who is folding the clothes.)
ADHITHI MOTHER: Is this the way you would behave infront of the
realtives? Whether your teacher taught you to behave like this to the
elderly people?
ADHITHI: Nooo maaa… I need to talk to you maa something important
about the matter which Geetha aunty told just now to you.
ADHITHI MOTHER: About what?
ADHITHI: Maaa about the periods problem. I am too scared maa whether
it is a serious issue?
(Five seconds of silence)
ADHITHI MOTHER: See here Adhithi it is not the correct age for you to
talk about this matter, you are a kid just leave these things and go finish
home works.
ADHITHI: But Maaaa….(In low tone)
(Adhithi Mother shouts at her)
ADHITHI MOTHER: Adhithi just leave it and go.
(Adhithi Mother feels too bad about her daughter’s health
condition and thinks to take her to their family doctor soon)
NEXT DAY,
(Adhithi and her mom goes to meet their family doctor)
DOCTOR: Hi Adhithi. How are you dear?
ADHITHI: If I am fine then why I am going to here for meeting you aunty.
DOCTOR: Haahaaa …You funny girl. What is your problem?
ADHITHI: Auntyyy….(Hesitates to explain the problem) Actually aunty
for the past four months I didn’t get my periods.
DOCTOR: Whether you are having hair loss dear?
ADHITHI MOTHER: Yes doctor.
DOCTOR: Is there any other issues Adhithi with this symptoms?
ADHITHI: Yes aunty,I could see many pimples and acne in my face. And
also darkness around my neck.
(Doctor writes something in the prescription pad)
(Adhithi and her mother looks at each others face in a confused
state)
Doctor: Now listen to me very clearly. It is the symptoms of PCOD which is
a uncurable disease with tablets. But I cannot confirm it by hearing all
your symptoms because symptoms vary from person to person.
ADHITHI MOTHER: (Gets Shocked) What is PCOD? Whether it is a
serious issue? Whether we need to operate it? When we should admit
Adhithi in the hospital for the surgery? Please save our daughter’s life.
(Starts Crying)
DOCTOR: Just be calm, let me explain about the term PCOD. It is a
HORMONAL DISORDER causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on
the outer edges. Symptoms may include excess body hair(HIRSUTISM),
severe acne, and menstrual cycle problem. Sometimes it may be due
GENETIC FACTORS also.
ADHITHI: Whether it is confirm that I have PCOD aunty?
DOCTOR: All the symptoms you told me shows that you may have PCOD
but I want you to take three tests which will give a clear cut informations
and data whether you have PCOD are not. The steps include like first of all
you need to check the HAEMOGLOBIN level. Because if your blood level
is too low you may have the chance of getting delayed periods.
ADHITHI MOTHER: Ok madam.
DOCTOR: Next check the THYROID level.
ADHITHI: Ok aunty.
DOCTOR: The third and the final step is taking a lower abdomen scan
which will give us an accurate level of the cysts that are present in the
ovaries.
ADHITHI: Ok aunty.
DOCTOR: And more importantly this should be known only within you
both people. Even Adhithi’s father should not know that she has such
disease. And not inform to anyone in the relative side then she will get
married at all.
(Adhithi and her mother simply nods their head with sad face)
ADHITHI: Whether there is no tablet for this aunty?
DOCTOR: Why not we will prescribe a tablet which is used to reduce the
sugar level in the diabetes patient which you should consume daily. Even if
you miss it for one day then you will not get your periods regularly.
ADHITHI: Ok aunty.
PRESENT,

(Adhithi at the present who looks at the iron tablet and feels too
happy for eating it)
(Adhithi who feels very happy when her husband looks at the scan
report of their baby)
ADHITHI: (Thinks inside her mind) How much sufferings I have gone
through when I waited to take the scan for testing whether I had PCOD or
not but now I feel too happy to see my baby in the scan report. It is
completely because of god’s grace.
(Adhithi who again starts thinking about her past)
(MY LIFE WITHOUT HARI MIGHT HAVE TURNED INTO A
MISERABLE ONE)

Hari: Hi Adhithi. Why your voice is too low? I s there any problem?

things I really loved your soul and not any other thing okay just leave it
and focus on your work.
ADHITHI: Seriously Hari.
HARI: Yeah…
