2. IFS
- Full name: IFS Food Standard
- Year of issue: 2003
- Content: IPS Food is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognised standard
for auditing food safety and quality of processes and products of food
manufacturers. It concerns food processing companies or companies that pack
loose food products. IFS Food applies when products are “processed” or when
there is a hazard for product contamination during primary packing. The standard
contains many requirements related to specifications’ compliance and it supports
production and marketing efforts for brand safety and quality.
3. IFOAM Standard

- Year of issue: 1972
- Content: The IFOAM Norms The IFOAM Norms are composed of three
documents: - The Common Objectives and Requirements of Organic Standards
(COROS) - IFOAM Standards Requirements, - The IFOAM Standard for
Organic Production and Processing, and - The IFOAM Accreditation
Requirements for Bodies Certifying Organic Production and Processing.
4. BRCGS
- Full name: BRCGS Food Safety
- Year of issue: 1996
- Content: BRCGS Food Safety is a globally recognized certification program that
ensures the safety and quality of food products. It sets out the requirements for
food manufacturers to meet in order to achieve certification. The program covers
various aspects of food safety, including hazard analysis, risk assessment, and
control measures. It also includes guidelines for good manufacturing practices,
traceability systems, and supplier management. BRCGS Food Safety helps
companies demonstrate their commitment to producing safe and high-quality
food products while meeting legal requirements and customer expectations.
5. GRASP
- Full name: GLOBALG.A.P. Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP)
- Year of issue: 1997
- Content: The GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) Standard
covers the certification of the whole agricultural production process of the
product from before the plant is in the ground (origin and propagation material
control points) or from when the animal enters the production process to non-
processed product (no processing, manufacturing or slaughtering is covered,
except for the first level in Aquaculture). Only products included in the
GLOBALG.A.P. product list, published on the GLOBALG.A.P. website, can be
registered for certification.
