This activity is to help you to create an outline before you deliver your speech,
as it will act as your guide to effectively sequence your information and ensure
you touch on all your main points.

1. Students must work individually on this assignment.


2. Choose a subject/topic that will be interesting to you and your audience.
Consider your own interests and experiences and the audience’s needs,
interests and experiences.
3. Follow the guidelines to write your outline.
4. Complete the speech outline template provided.
5. Your speech outline must consist of an introduction, body, and conclusion.

INTRODUCTION A very good morning to the madam and fellow
classmates, it`s a great opportunity for us all to be here.

Today I will inform my audience about the importance
of meal planning. As you know, on a busy schedule,
people tend to eat out more and lose track of proper
nutrition. To counter this habit, meal planning need to
be incorporated into a person`s schedule. This is
because meal planning are important elements of a
healthy lifestyle. So today, I will inform my audience
about the importance of meal planning

MAIN POINT 1 Did you know that if you do a meal planning it will
help you to save a time.
SUB-POINT 1 To begin with, meal planning for the week can help
you manage your time better. We spend a lot of time
deciding what to eat, shopping, cooking, and then
cleaning up after dinner. By planning ahead and
organizing your meals, it means you won't have to go
to the stores last minute and reduce aimless wandering
and spending while you're there. Instead of wasting
time figuring out what to cook or whether you should

order takeout, meal planning saves you time on your


busiest days by planning meals. That means you have
more time during the week to work out, spend time
with family, friends or time for yourself. Moreover,
Planning ahead makes cooking healthy dinners from
scratch much easier. Things you may have never done
before such as soaking and cooking dried beans,
making bread or pizza dough, or simmering soup in a
slow cooker aren’t that hard when you plan in advance.

MAIN POINT 2 Other than that, while you do a meal planning you
also can learn about portion control.
SUB-POINT 2 Planning your own meals will allow you to see how
much you’re actually eating. This also prevents you
from overeating at restaurants, which tend to serve a
way bigger portion than you should actually be eating.
By planning your own meals gives your insight into
what a portion really is. That’s means; meal planning
gives you a control and choice over ingredients. As
you plan your meals, keep portion sizes in mind and
remember that vegetables and fruits should cover half
your plate, lean protein should cover a quarter, and the
rest of your plate should include whole grains. We are
so used to consuming more than we should by eating
larger portions than our bodies actually need. By
making it a habit to planning meals, you can control
the foods and ingredients in all of your meals and be
able you control your portions sizes, which means
you’ll be less likely to overeat. Beside It's easier to
avoid problematic food allergens and to incorporate
ingredients that support diets for your specific health,
such as low carb, vegetarian, and dairy-free or gluten-
free diets

CONCLUSION In conclusion, the importance of planning and


preparing meals cannot be overemphasized. Knowing
