Key Accountabilities
1. Assists in planning the theory and scope of the audit. Ensures the audit scope is broad enough to provide
reasonable assurance that efficient and effective management controls are in place and functioning properly
for the business process.
2. Flowcharts business processes and conducts risk assessments to identity the key control point requirements of
the business process under review.
3. Ensures audits are performed in a professional manner and comply with the standards published by the
(international organization) Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
4. Obtains, analyses, and appraises evidentiary data that will form the basis for an informed objective opinion on
the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems and the efficiency of performance of the activities being
reviewed. Reviews transactions, documents, records reports and procedures. Evaluates the accuracy and
effectiveness of processes.
5. Prepares working papers showing the results of the audit examination. Working papers files must contain
sufficient evidence and documentation to support the finding and recommendation.
6. Evaluates the system of internal controls and makes recommendations for improvements to ensure the
utilization of efficient controls in a cost-effective manner.
