REASONS FOR REFUSAL

You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.

In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: Visitor of the Immigration
Rules (www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor),
I have considered:
• your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
• your immigration history

The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2-4.6 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:

• You state that you intend to travel to the UK for 1 month to visit your brother-in-law. You
have said that your sponsor will help you with this visit by providing you with
accommodation and funds whilst you are in the United Kingdom and I am satisfied that
they he is a position to do so based on documents provided. While I take that into
account in assessing your proposed maintenance and accommodation in the UK, this is
only one aspect of the visitor rules and this sponsorship does not satisfy me of your own
intention to leave the UK on completion of your visit.

• I have recognised the importance of family visits and have carefully considered your
application. I am aware of the circumstances surrounding your application; however I am
not satisfied that these outweigh my other concerns against the requirements of the
Immigration Rules. I have considered the evidence provided and written statements you
have made, but I am not satisfied you have met the requirements of the Immigration
Rules on this occasion.

• The onus is on you to qualify for entry clearance based on your own circumstances and
your own intentions. You have stated that you are a self-employed Doctor with an
income of PKR 2,700,000 per annum. You have also declared other income from rent.

• In support of your application you have submitted a bank statement in your name from
MCB Bank (account number ending with 3790) however I note the starting balance of
this account was PKR 10,000 on 09/03/2023 and I note a large deposit of PKR
1,000,000 made on 23/05/2023. I note you have submitted another bank statement from
MCB Bank (account number ending with 7358) and I note a large deposit of PKR
2,000,000 on 21/06/2023. I note that these two deposits equate to your annual income
being deposited in a short period immediately before your UK visa application. I am
therefore not satisfied that your financial circumstances are as claimed on your
application form.

• Furthermore, I note that you intend to travel to the UK with your immediate family leaving
behind no dependants. The documents you have submitted do not demonstrate you
have any family remaining in your country residence or elsewhere and it is not clear what
family and social ties you retain in your country of residence and therefore consider you
have very little in the way of ties to provide you with enough incentive to leave the UK on
completion of your proposed visit. Therefore, I am not satisfied that you have family ties
outside of the UK to ensure you will leave at the end of your proposed visit. I am
therefore not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor or will to leave the
UK after a limited period

• I am therefore not satisfied that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit and
that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused
under paragraph V4.2 (a) and (c) of the Immigration Rules.
