REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0
The decision
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:
You have applied for permission to enter the UK to visit for 4 days to participate in the
upcoming 5th international conference on social science, humanities and education.
You state that you are self-employed as Co-founder/ Procurement &Partnerships earning
19000.00 GHS (£2,334.58 at exchange rate of £1=8.09 GHS) per year. You also state that
you have additional yearly income of 24000.00 GHS from another income. In support of your
application you have provided business registration documents and pay advice.
I acknowledge you have provided a letter of introduction which states that you are the co –
founder/executive director of Riverside Food Bank. However, the documents and the
information provided with this application do not demonstrate that you actually own this
business or demonstrate your proprietorship as stated. Given this, I am not satisfied that you
are earning the income you have stated.
You state that another company or organisation is paying for all the costs in relation to your
visit. However, I must also assess your personal circumstances in your home country.
Given the reasons above, I am not satisfied as to your intentions for visiting the UK, that you
are a genuine visitor or that you will leave at the end of the period specified by you. I
therefore refuse your application under paragraphs V4.2 (a) and (c) of the United Kingdom
Immigration Rules.
