INT. GARAGE - DAY
A shaggy haired man in his thirties is on bended knees,
screwing in a knot at the side of a family sized plane. A
seven year old girl creeps up on him and pounces at his
back, playfully biting him all over. They wrestle on the
floor.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) Hi, I'm

veraqueen. My genius dad and I
had always been the best buddies.
And when I was just seven, I
helped him build a plane.

DAD
(Laughing)
Firecracker. It's not play time
yet.
(Hands her a screw driver)
Come, screw this nut for me.
You'll see love, this plane is
going to make me super popular.

VERAQUEEN
You mean us! We're a team!
They high five each other.

DAD
(Laughs)
Hahaha! Yes Firecracker. Us.
(SH_01)

Show MC's dad on a large stage, unveiling his plane to a

massive crowd of clapping onlookers. He presses the button
on a remote control but the plane doesn't move. People
start laughing at him.
 VERAQUEEN (V.O.) Dad
was an aerospace engineer and he
was working on inventing a remote
controlled plane. But when he
finally thought it was ready and
chose to show it to the world,
that day, the plane refused to
fly.(SH_02)

Show Dad, mom and Vera driving back home from the failed
presentation. Everyone is tensed and when they arrive home,
Mom spins around to face dad.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
Things were not the same between
Mom and dad after that. Mom began
to pick fights with him everyday.

MOM
You silly man! You spent years
working on that stupid invention!
Now you're a failure! You should
crawl up a hole and stay there!
(SH_03)

Dad sinks to his knees, and Vera rushes to console him, but
mom grabs her hand and drags her away. Show on the TV the
scene of dad presenting the plane and people laughing.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) To
make things worse, Dad's
invention that failed him was
all over the news. It broke his
heart,and Mom wouldn't even let
me comfort him.

MOM
You poor thing, must have been
hard with dad forcing you to work
on that plane with him.

VERAQUEEN
He didn't force me! I loved
working with him!(SH_04)

Show Vera rushing out of bed in the morning at the sound of

a car starting. She runs out to the front door and sees her
dad driving away from the house. Mom comes and puts a hard
on her shoulder but Vera shrugs it away.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) Days

later, Dad just packed up and
left without a goodbye, I was so
sad and angry at mom for making
him go away.(SH_05)

Show different scenes of mom and veraqueen. One, mom gets

into her car and drives away just as Vera comes out of the
house dressed in her school uniform ready for school. Vera
chases after the car but the car speeds away. Two, Vera
opens the fridge and pots but they are all empty.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
It didn't help that mom also began
to act like she doesn't remember I
exist. Sometimes she would go to
work without dropping me off at
school, or forget to keep
something for me to eat. She was
terrible!(SH_06)

EXT. GROCERY PARKING LOT -YEARS LATER

Vera now 16, Rolling a cart toward the car with her mom
beside her. A woman rushes towards her mom to hug her. He
woman pulls back and points at Vera.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) One day

we went grocery shopping together
and she met an old friend of
hers.

The woman pulls back and points at Vera.

FRIEND
Is this your daughter!?
MOM
Yeah...

FRIEND
She's so pretty! What's her name
again!?

MOM
Um...her name is...sweetie, what's
that your name again?

VERAQUEEN
(Angrily)
Is that a serious question!? Real
mom's don't forget their
children's names! Ever!

Veraqueen leaves the cart and walks away angrily.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) I
was so angry I left them there
and went home.(SH_07)

INT. GARAGE -NEXT DAY

Veraqueen comes into the garage with a poker face. Her eyes
fall on something and she lights up. Show sparkles in her
eyes as she stares at something unseen by the audience.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) But on
getting home, all the anger
melted away at the sight of my
favorite thing in the world.

VERAQUEEN

(Melodramatic)
The baby that would take me
places.

She hugs the nose of a plane.

VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
Ready to fly or still scared?
Show the entire length of the plane.
VERAQUEEN (V.O.) It was
the plane I had watched and
helped my dad build as a kid.

Vera pulls off her top and wearing her singlet and pants
only, she slides under the plane with a toolbox.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
I missed my dad so much, and even
though mom was against it, I hoped
that if I fixed the plane, he
would come out of hiding and be a
proud engineer again.(SH_08)

Mom comes into the garage looking angry.

MOM
Veraqueen! Get out from there this
instant!

VERAQUEEN
Mom, just a few minutes.
MOM
I've told you to stop wasting time
with that plane. Your dad wouldn't
listen too, until it failed him!

Vera slides out from under the plane.

VERAQUEEN
This is practice for the future
mom.
I want to be an aerospace engineer
like dad.

MOM
Sounds like a fancy way of saying,
you want to be a failure like dad.
You will never touch that plane
again! Or--

VERAQUEEN
(Snaps)
Or what!? You will make me go away
like you did dad!?
(MORE)
VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
What do you even care!? You
can't even remember my name!

MOM
(Grits teeth)
Get out or I'll set that plane on
fire.(SH_09)

Vera leaves with her hands up in surrender, and walking

backwards, quickly leaves the garage

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) At her
threat, I left the garage like the
devil was after me, because I
couldn't bear the thought of dads
hard work going to waste like
that.(SH_10)

INT. KITCHEN -NEXT MORNING

Sitting on the kitchen island, Vera spoons up a mouthful of
cereals. Mom comes in carrying a birthday cake.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) The

tension between mom and I
worsened after that, but to my
surprise, four days later she
surprised me with a cake for
my 16th birthday!

MOM
(Singing)
Happy birthday to you. Happy
birthday to you...

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)
It warmed my heart but...

VERAQUEEN
I turned 16 five days ago mom.
MOM
I know sweetie I just remembered.
I am so sorry I forgot.

VERAQUEEN
Well...I can't reject this yummy
looking cake.

MOM
Then take a bite!(SH_11)
Vera takes a cut from the cake, eats some of it, and her
face begins to swell and go red.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)
The moment I swallowed a few
bites, I began to choke!

VERAQUEEN
(Frantic)
Mom! Did you put peanut butter in
this!?

MOM
Yeah, why?

VERAQUEEN
How could you!? I'm allergic to
peanut! I--

Veraqueen collaspes to the floor.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) I
couldn't say anything else
because I lost
consciousness.(SH_12)

INT. HOSPITAL - LATER

Vera wakes up and her mom is beside her sobbing.
VERAQUEEN(V.O.) When I
woke up, it was in the hospital
with the witch I called my mom
crying beside me.

VERAQUEEN
I see your plan to kill me failed.
MOM
Oh Vera please don't say that! I
completely forgot you have a
strong allergy to peanut butter! I
swear!

VERAQUEEN
You're a big liar. Unless you're
sick in the head or something, how
can you forget your own child's
allergy!?

MOM
Please let me make it up to you,
let me take you on a trip to
Barbados.

VERAQUEEN So you can

abandon me at the airport and
claim you forgot you had a
child, no way!

Show mom begging and Veraqueen shaking her head furiously.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) Even
though mom seemed genuine, I
refused to forgive her. Her
explanations just didn't make
sense.(SH_13)

INT. LIVING ROOM - TWO WEEKS LATER

Veraqueen opens the front door and mom enters with a tall
handsome African American carrying a miniature Poodle.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) Two

weeks later mom came back with a
guy she introduced as Smoke.

MOM
He will be watching over you, at
home and in school.

VERAQUEEN
Wait. You got me a nanny!? Why!?
MOM
Don't question me! look, he even
has a cute dog!

SMOKE
His name is Bruno.
VERAQUEEN
You just want to make sure I don't
go near that plane don't you!? You

may as well plant cameras to

monitor me!(SH_14)

Veraqueen stomps away and enters her bedroom. She dives

into her bed and wraps herself up with a duvet. Her bedroom
door is still open.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I
went to bed fuming, I couldn't
stand a stranger looking over
my shoulder!

Smoke appears at the door and knocks on the door frame.

SMOKE
Knock knock. I got you some
dinner, since you skipped it.

VERAQUEEN
Oh, so you're my mummy now.
SMOKE
Look Vera, your mom is not in a
very good place right now...

VERAQUEEN
(Angry)
Who are you to tell me about my
mom!? Leave! I am not hungry!
(SH_15)

Smoke keeps the tray of food on the floor and leaves.

Veraqueen peeks at it for two seconds before she jumps over
to it and begins to eat it all.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) Smoke
kept the food on the floor
before he left, and I devoured
every thing in seconds.

Show a very animated scene of Vera trying to pull Smoke out

of the door while mom is pulling him in.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.)
(CONT'D) Despite my best efforts Mom
refused to budge on making Smoke
leave, and I had almost given up
when I noticed something that made
me decide to take matters into my
hand.(SH_16)

Show Smoke and mom in front of the car with veraqueen

behind as they are coming back from an event. He gently
tucks some strands of hair away from mom's face as he
drives.

Smoke, was in love with my mom!

Another scene where Mom gives Vera a necklace for her to
help clasp on her neck. Smoke is off to the side staring at
Mom with a smitten expression. Vera glares at him.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
I could clearly see it in his eyes
whenever he was talking to her!
(SH_17)

INT. RESTAURANT -DAYS LATER

Mom, Vera and Smoke eating together in a restaurant at a
round table. Mom starts coughing.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) One day

we had dinner out, and mom began
to choke.

MOM
(Coughs)

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)
Smoke flew to her like
freaking batman!

Smoke offers mom water and begins to pat her back.

SMOKE
Drink water ma'am!
VERAQUEEN
You don't have to pat her back
Mister.

Vera stands and walks over to pat her mom's back but her
mom leans further into Smoke so he continues.

I went to do it myself but Mom

leaned away from me and further
into Smoke.

MOM
Thanks Smoke, you're doing it just
right.

Veraqueen goes red in the face and glares at Smoke angrily.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I was
mad. I didn't even have enough of
my mom to share with someone else!
True she was a meanie, but she was
all I had. He had to disappear,
like the Smoke he was!(SH_18)

EXT. BACKYARD - NEXT DAY

Wearing the hoodie from the first scene and holding a spray
can Veraqueen squats before Bruno.

So I turned to the dog I could see

he loved so much

VERAQUEEN
Sup Bruno? I am gonna give you a
makeover! Hahahaha!

Sprays him all over with bright orange dye.

VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
Now you look stunning.

Vera reaches out to stroke him but some of his now orange
fur ends up in her hand. She recoils in shock, strokes him
again and ends up with the same result.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) But
when I made to stroke the dog,
some of his fur began to come off
and I was horrified!

Vera jerks up and runs away into the

garage.

I felt so guilty that at the sound

of mom and Smoke coming in, I ran
away to hide in the plane!(SH_19)

INT. GARAGE -CONTINOUS

Vera is hiding in the Plane's cockpit. She sees two
disconnected wires on the flight deck, joins them together
and presses the power button of the planes remote. The
planes light comes on and it's blades began to rotate.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) While I
hid, my eyes fell on two
disconnected wires. I joined them
back and experimentally pressed
the remote! To my shock, after
years of trying to revive the
plane, it geared to life!

VERAQUEEN
(Excited)
It works!!!! I am gonna fly baby!
(SH_20)

Smoke knocks at the window beside her.

SMOKE
Knock knock.

She pales when she sees Smoke, and powers off the plane and
then rushes out of it to kneel at his feet.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I
shrank when I saw Smoke at the
window, with Bruno.

VERAQUEEN
(Apologetic)
I am so sorry! I just wanted to
change his color so you can get
mad enough to leave! I didn't know
it would make him shed his fur!
Forgive me!

SMOKE
Under one condition. You're coming
with your mom and I to Barbados
this coming holiday.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) The

last thing I wanted to do was join
mom on a trip where she was likely
to embarrass me, but if that was
what I could do to redeem
myself...

VERAQUEEN
Fine.(SH_21)

EXT. AIRPORT -TWO WEEKS LATER

Smoke and Two pilots help load their luggages Into the
plane. The pilots shoulders are sagged and they are
dragging their feet as if they are sleepwalking. There are
bags under their eyes. Vera and mom are watching them.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) And
that was how I found myself
about to board a plane with
mom, Bruno, and Smoke.

I was quickly uncomfortable with

the men that would fly us.

VERAQUEEN
(To the pilots)
Is there a reason why two of you
look like you haven't slept in
ages?

Mom slaps a hand over Veraqueens mouth.

MOM
Oh don't mind my daughter, her
mouth has no filter.(SH_22)

They all board the plane. Vera sits across Mom and Smoke
who are gisting animatedly. Vera's eyes are fixed on the
cockpit enclosure where the pilots are.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) We
boarded the plane, and soon we
were up in the sky. While mom and
Smoke chatted like an old couple,
I was all by myself.

Show some zzz's coming out from the cockpit enclosure.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
Suddenly, the sound of snoring
from the cockpit reached my ears.

VERAQUEEN
Hey, Those pilots are sleeping! I
told you they looked extra droopy!

SMOKE
Really!? That means--
MOM
Don't listen to her, she just
wants to ruin this trip.

VERAQUEEN
Mom I swear this is not a–
MOM
(Sternly)
Silence.(SH_23)

Mom and Smoke continues talking and Vera looks back toward
the cockpit in alarm. The plane suddenly starts spinning.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)
Mom and Smoke continued talking
and I felt like weeping because
seconds later, our plane was
spinning in the air!

BRUNO
(Barks in fright)
Whoof!

Bruno leaps into Vera who holds him close.

VERAQUEEN
(Frightened)
Oh God!!! We are going to die!!!!
PILOTS
(Frantic)
Attention passengers! Please grab
the parachute in the compartment
above you!May the odds be in your
favor.

MOM
(Angry)
You are idiot pilots!(SH_24)
Vera, Mom, and Smoke grabs parachutes from the compartment
above their chairs and straps it on.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I
hadn't used a parachute before
but from the movies I had
watched, it couldn't be so hard .
We all jumped out of the plane.

Show Vera struggling to activate her parachute while still

carrying Bruno but she's unable to and gravity defeats her.
She falls.
 15.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D) But the movies had

deceived me! I couldn't activate the
parachute and I just...fell. FADE TO BLACK.
(SH_25)

INT. THICK JUNGLE - LATER

Still wearing the parachute, Vera wakes up slowly to see
Bruno licking her face.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I woke
up to something licking my face.

VERAQUEEN
Bruno. Good boy.

She's tangled up in a mess of vines with Bruno on her

stomach.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) And
found myself tangled up in some
vines hanging from a tree. There
were so many trees!!?!

VERAQUEEN
Um... help!!! Mom! Smoke!? Sleepy
pilots!?

Looks around in panic.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) Oh
God! Was mom okay!? I didn't
know how she landed.(SH_26)

She unstraps the parachute and gets down from the tree with
Bruno and finds herself standing before a cluster of giant
eggs. Vera turns blue in fright.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
Gently, I got down from the tree
and gasped when I saw a cluster of
eggs half my height!
The size of the eggs was pointing
to a very giant beast around!

Vera takes a step back and opens her mouth to scream but
just then she sees a huge shadow of a dinosaur head coming
toward her.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
I opened my mouth to scream for

(Screams)
Dinosaur!!!!(SH_27)

Veraqueen begins to run and Bruno runs with her. She

crashes into someone, pulls back and tears fill her eyes
when she sees it's her mom.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)

I took to my heels with Bruno

right behind me, I couldn't tell
for how long I had ran before I
crashed into someone! Tears of
relief filled my eyes when I saw
who it was.

VERAQUEEN
Mom! It's you! Oh I am so happy!
Mom looks at her with no atom of recognition in her eyes.
MOM
(Confused)
Who are you?

VERAQUEEN You
must have hit your head
somewhere. It's me, Vera–

Mom takes a step back

MOM
(Yells))
Stay away me!
VERAQUEEN (V.O.) And
just like that, she took off
running like a freaking
antelope! Bruno chased after
her.(SH_28)

Veraqueen tries to chase after her mom but falls into a

large rock-like poop.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.)
(CONT'D) I made to follow but I

tripped over some really hard

giant poop and fell flat on my
face!

VERAQUEEN
Ugh!

She raises her head, and comes face to face with a

dinosaur.

VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
(Screams)
Arghh!!! Don't eat me! I swear I
am very bitter!!!

SMOKE
Eat you? What are you talking
about!?

Veraqueen hurries up to her feet, and stares at the

creature in shock. It's Smoke wearing a dinosaur head.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I
scrambled to my feet, and my jaw
dropped.
The dinosaur had a human body...
VERAQUEEN
Smoke!?
I don't know if it's evolution or
something, but You kind of have a
dinosaur head.

SMOKE
(Surprised)
What!? Oh!(SH_29)

He pulls off the dinosaur head and Vera heaves in relief.

SMOKE (CONT'D)
(Speaks quickly)
Must have fallen on me when I
fell, I think this place is an
abandoned site for shooting a
Jurassic movie. Plastic Dino eggs,
plastic Dino poop–

Vera Grabs his shoulder and shakes him.

VERAQUEEN
(Impatient)

I get it. Look. My mom, I just saw

her and she took off like she
doesn't know who I am. Bruno is
with her too.

SMOKE
(Shocked)
Oh no! We have to find them!
(SH_30)

They begin to make their way into the jungle. Show their
heads popping out here and there as they do.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) We
searched endlessly for hours,
and when it began to get dark,
I began to lose hope

Veraqueen stops to catch her breath and begins to cry.

VERAQUEEN Oh mum!
Would I ever see her again!? I
know she's the worst
but...*sniffs*I still love
her.

SMOKE
(Gently)
You know, your mom doesn't forget
things about you because she wants
to.

VERAQUEEN
(Sniffs)
Yeah, it's because she doesn't
care.

SMOKE
No. She has early onset dementia,
forgetting things is part of it
and that's why she hired me. Not
to look after you, but her also. I
am her live in nurse.

VERAQUEEN
(Shocked)
Wait...all this while...she's just
been suffering from memory loss!?
She won't remember me again!??

SMOKE

I wanted to tell you earlier that

night in your room cause she
wouldnt. But her forgetting you
today might just be the trauma of
falling out of the plane.(SH_31)

Veraqueen shakes her head in disbelief and her knees sink

to the ground. She begins to cry and Smoke kneels with her.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) My
heart was in shreds for making
things difficult for my already
sick mom!

VERAQUEEN
What if I never see her again!?
Smoke hugs her and stands up, pulling Vera up too. He leads
her to a small clearing.

VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
Smoke comforted me and asked we
rest in a small clearing.(SH_32)

EXT. CLEARING IN THE JUNGLE - NIGHT

The full moon illuminates the scene. Smoke and Vera are
sitting around a fire. They hear the sound of a grunting
pig and freeze.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) We had
just made a fire when the sound
of something snorting behind us
made us tremble.

A huge wild boar appears from the bushes looking ready to

charge. Smoke jumps to his feet and stands before Vera.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.)
(CONT'D) Smoke was before me in
flash like freaking commando.

SMOKE
It's a wild boar! Run! I'll
distract it!

Vera turns to run and sights a dinosaur costume on the

floor. Show a light bulb going off in her head.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I was
about to run but...the sight of a

dinosaur costume on the ground

gave me an idea.

Vera puts on the dinosaur costume and comes stomping toward

the boar.

VERAQUEEN
(Funny Roar)
Roar!!! I am going to have pork
for dinner!

The pig turns and runs back into the bush.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) To
my delight the pig turned and
ran with its ears tucked in.

VERAQUEEN
Hahaha! How was that Roar!?
SMOKE
Dinosaurs...don't roar. (Smiles)
But thanks for saving my life.

VERAQUEEN
You wanted to save mine first. So…
thanks too.(SH_33)

Vera and Smoke sit back down by the fire, show them
talking, then they put off the fire and go to sleep.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) For

the rest of the night I talked
with Smoke, and l found he was a
super cool guy!

Show the sun coming up in the sky, Vera and Smoke dust off
and continue their search in the jungle. She sees a trail
of orange floor on the grass.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
When morning came, we were ready
to look for mom again, but we
didn't know where to start! Then I
noticed some bright orange fur on
the grass.

VERAQUEEN
(Excitedly)
Look! That's Bruno's fur!

SMOKE
It leaves a trail! Might lead to
your mom!(SH_34)

The continue through the overgrown bushes with Vera in

front and Smoke behind her. Just as the are about to enter
a clearing, Out of nowhere, mom attacks Smoke from behind.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) We did

and just as we were about to enter
a clearing, someone pounced on
Smoke from behind. it was...

VERAQUEEN
Mom!

Mom quickly let's go of smoke, takes a step back.

MOM
Oh! Vera!? Smoke!

VERAQUEEN
I rushed to her and hugged her!
And Mom hugged me too!

VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
(Teary)
Mom, I am so sorry for being mad
at you! You should have just told
me you were sick!

MOM
Oh dear. I didn't want you to
worry. But when I forgot your
allergy, I got scared and had to
call Smoke to help.

Bruno appears at their feet, wagging his tail happily.

Smoke bends to pet it.

SMOKE
How do we get back home from here?
There's no signs of the plane or
the pilots anywhere.

VERAQUEEN
Maybe we can get a flight home?
MOM
 22.

Vera, he just said we can't find

the plane...(SH_35)

Vera takes out the planes remote control and presses the
power button.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) I took
out the remote for my plane and
pressed the power button.

VERAQUEEN
Just watch mom. Have faith and
pray.

Show them sitting on the grass when the Vera's plane lands
softly in the clearing, rolling to a halt.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)
It took two hours, but like a
dream come through, my plane
landed in the clearing, without a
human pilot!

Mom and Smoke have their mouths open in surprise, even

Bruno.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
Mom and Smoke's jaw dropped to the
ground.

MOM SMOKE Unbelievable! You did it!

Awesome!

Mom, Smoke, and Vera enter the plane and the pilots from
earlier jump out of the jungle, rushing toward their plane.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) just as

we had settled in, the droopy eyed
pilots came out of the bush at
full speed.

PILOTS
Please! Please take us with you!
(SH_36)

Mom, Smoke, and Vera's heads get big and red with anger and
the yell something at them at once. The pilots enter the
plane looking a bit dejected and gloomy.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) We were
all mad at them for the trouble we

went through, but we let them in

anyway.(SH_37)

They arrive home, and the front lawn is filled with

reporters holding cameras and the police.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) (CONT'D)
At home, our yard filled with
reporters and the police! They had
seen my plane fly off without a
pilot and everyone wanted to know
about it!

A reporter points the microphone at veraqueen.

REPORTER
Miss Vera, please say something
for millions of people watching
you now!

VERAQUEEN
Dad, if you're watching this, I

I was proud too, but sadly, Dad

Show Veraqueen and other graduating students throwing off

their graduation caps and then show her arriving at her new
college with some luggages, Smoke, mom are beside her. Mom
has Bruno in her arms.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.) However,
thanks to my invention, after I
graduated highschool and I got a
scholarship to study aerospace
engineering at a big university
just as I dreamed! Smoke and mom
saw me off on my first day!

Smoke drops a hand on her shoulder and smiles.

Don't worry, I will take care of
mom.

VERAQUEEN(V.O)
Smoke and mom were dating now, and
I couldn't have asked for a better
step dad to be.

VERAQUEEN (CONT'D)
I know you're Mr capable.

SMOKE
(Blushes)

VERAQUEEN
(Smirks and pets Bruno)
I was talking about Bruno!

SMOKE
What!? Hahahaha!(SH_39)
A beat up car slides in next to them, and Vera watches the
driver wind down his window. He has sunshades on, and a
beard that makes him look creepy. Vera looks at him and he
quickly wounds his window back up.

VERAQUEEN(V.O.)
Just then I saw a man staring at
us through his creepy shades. He
hid like an ostrich when I looked
his way.

Vera takes a selfie with mom, smoke and Bruno. She then
hugs mom.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.)
(CONT'D) I brushed it off, and
after taking some pictures with
mom and Smoke,

Smoke, Mom and Bruno get back into their fancy car and
drive away.

Vera carries her luggage and proceeds toward the school.

The man in the car comes out and trails behind her. He is
wearing a largely oversized coat.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.)
(CONT'D) We bade each other
goodbye. As I was making my way to

before began to follow me.

Vera stops turns to glare at him.

VERAQUEEN
Hey creep, what do you want?
The man (her Dad )pulls off the shades he has on, and
smiles at her.

VERAQUEEN (V.O.) I
almost fainted when he pulled off
his shades!

DAD
My firecracker. you're still as
pretty and feisty as ever.

Vera's eyes fill with tears and she rushes in to hug him.
VERAQUEEN(V.O.) Dad had
a lot of explaining to do, but for
now I rushed into his arms.

VERAQUEEN
I knew you'd come back.
VERAQUEEN(V.O) (CONT'D)
My lesson from all this is treat
everyone with kindness because
just a little bit of goodness can
