Bullet Train Project

• This is the metro project from Valsad district to

Ahmedabad.
• Total distance covered is 508km.
• The cost of the project if 1 lakh crore.
• Many projects are introduced making it more
economical and time saving.
MTHL PROJECT
• The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Project (MTHL) is an under-construction
infrastructural development to connect the main city of Mumbai with its
satellite city Navi Mumbai via Sewri and Chirle. The MTHL Mumbai will facilitate
faster development of Navi Mumbai and help reduce congestion.

• Bridge length:18.2km
• Total estimated cost - ₹17,843 crore
• Expected completion date September 2023
• Owned by:- Mumbai Metropolitan
Region Development Authority
(MMRDA)
• Maximum speed limit : 100 kmph
• The commutation or the time taken for travelling from Mumbai to Navi
Mumbai currently is around 2 hours 20 mins. With this Sewri Navi
Mumbai bridge, the time for travelling will be drastically reduced.
• As a result, residential properties near MTHL will get access to
improved connectivity, economic opportunities, and the bidding for
property value appreciation. For residents of Piramal Aranya, the
MTHL project means improved accessibility and connectivity
between South Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
• Hence, if one has to commute daily across the city,
they can save more time on travel and also avoid the
hassle of traffic.
DRDO PROJECT

• India’s premier defence research institute DRDO has built a multi-

storey facility for flight control system at Aeronautical Development
Establishment in Bengaluru.
• It is a seven-storey building, with a plinth area of 1.3 lakh square feet.
• This building was completed in 45 days.
• Used HYBRID TECHNOLOGY for construction.

• Used for the development of a fifth-generation medium

weight deep penetration fighter jet for the Indian Air
Force.
3-D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY
Advantages:
• Provides more flexibility
• Requires less labour.
• Less wastage generated.
• Eco friendly.
• Used to construct any shape of the structure.
• The building can last for 30 -50 years.
POST OFFICE:

• India got its first 3D-printed post office in Bengaluru on August 18.
• Built with a robotic printer using 3D printing technology.
• According to postal officials, the post office building was constructed by Larsen & Toubro company
while IIT Madras provided technical guidance.
• The entire construction activity was completed in a period of 45 days as compared to about six to
eight months taken by the conventional method.
• Cost and time savings make 3D-concrete printing technology a viable alternative to conventional
building practices
TALLEST
COMMERCIAL
TOWER
• AUROBINDO REALTY ORBIT.
• Located at the heart of
Hyderabad.
• Uses Precast Technology.
• Uses Resilent Technology.
• It is 3 million sq.ft.
• 1 floor can be completed
within 6 days.
• Consumes less energy.
• It is fast.
• It can be easily dismantled.
• It can be Reused.

Difference between
built up area, site
area,and carpet area
• Built-Up Area: This includes the total area
covered by the building's walls, including
internal and external walls, balconies,
projections, and staircases. It encompasses
both usable and non-usable spaces.
• Site Area: This is the total area of the land on
which the building is constructed. It includes
outdoor spaces and open areas on the
property.
• Carpet Area: This is the net usable area within
the walls of the apartment or unit. It represents
the actual livable space and is the area where
occupants can place furniture and move
around.

LAWS OF CONSTRUCTION
• Building Codes and Regulations:
• Compliance with local building codes is mandatory for all construction projects.
• Zoning and Land Use:
• Zoning laws designate areas for different types of land use (residential, commercial, industrial)
• Permits and Approvals:
• Construction projects require various permits (building, zoning, environmental) from local
authorities.
• Contracts and Agreements:
• Written contracts are essential for outlining project scope, responsibilities, timelines, and
payment terms.
• Liability and Insurance:
• Contractors typically carry liability insurance to cover accidents, injuries, and property damage.
• Environmental Regulations:
• Construction must adhere to environmental laws to minimize ecological impact.
• Occupational Safety and Health:
• Compliance with safety guidelines and provision of proper equipment are essential.

construction site.
Mixer tanker
• Purpose: A concrete mixer tanker is a specialized vehicle designed
to transport and mix concrete from the batching plant to
construction sites
• Design: Concrete mixer tankers are typically cylindrical in shape
with a large rotating drum mounted on the back of a truck chassis.
• Mixing Mechanism: The drum of the concrete mixer tanker rotates
on its axis as the vehicle moves. This rotation agitates the concrete
inside, ensuring a consistent mixture.
• Capacity: Concrete mixer tankers come in various sizes, ranging
around 7 meter cube
• Loading and Unloading: Concrete is loaded into the drum either
through the top or through an opening at the rear of the drum.
• Safety Precautions: Operating a concrete mixer tanker requires
adherence to safety protocols
• Maintenance: Regular maintenance of the vehicle is crucial to
ensure proper functioning.
