Aims/Objectives:
1. To impart knowledge about the importance of SCM concepts and practices.
2. To build an understanding of the various tools and techniques used for assessing Supply Chain Requirements.
3. To learn about the Emerging Concepts and concerns in Supply Chain.
Contents:
1. Fundamentals of SCM: The era of Physical Distribution Management, the Concept of Supply Chain, Bullwhip
Effect, Information for Supply Chain Management.
2. Decision Making in SCM: Network Optimization Models, Outsourcing, Facility Location, Performance
Measures in SCM.
3. Logistics: Modes of Transportation, Inter Modal Transpiration, LTL, Shippers, Reverse Logistics.
4. Customer Focus in Supply Chain: Achieving Customer Satisfaction Objectives.
5. International Supply Chain Management: Global Issues & Trends
