LAQ 14. (i).Prove that the combined equation of pair of tangents drawn from an external point P(x1, y1) to the circle

(ii).Find the pair of tangents drawn from (1, 3) to the circle x2 + y2 - 2x + 4y - 11 = 0 and also find
the angle between them.
LAQ 15 . Show that four common tangents can be drawn for the circles given by
x2 + y2 - 14x + 6y + 33 = 0 and x2 + y2 + 30x - 2y + 1 = 0 and find the internal and external
centres of similitude.

LAQ 16. Derive the equation of a parabola in the standard form y2 = 4ax with diagram.
LAQ 17. (i). Find the equation of the parabola whose axis is parallel to the x-axis and which passes
