4.1 Introductory Review:
Activity (5 min. ) Ask: Let’s do a short recap on what we did yesterday. What are the factors affecting the
family income and steps on making a budget?
Motivation:
Ask: If I will give you money to spend it in 1 month, what will you do to it? How are you
going to spend it?
4.2 Activity (8 min.) A. Group work:
A.

1. Every groups are given different amount.


2. All they need to do is to make a plan how they are going to spend it for a month by
considering the different basics needs.
3. You can make an illustration on it using the given materials
4. After 7 minutes, 1 representative will report the work of the team.
B. Checking of output
4.3. Analysis (10 Ask:
min.) How did you budget the income given to the groups? (By allocating the budget of the
different needs) What are the things you need to think in making your budget? (the basic
needs)

4.4 Abstraction Generalization:
(5 min.)  How are you going to allocate the budget according to the income in the family? You
should identify what needs should be allocated more than the other.

(10 min.) Group Work:

1. Divide the class into four groups.


2. Provide situations wherein in the group will prepare a budget for the entire family for
one week.
3. Note that there are four types of situation.
4. The group have the option on how they will present it in a most creative and innovative
way.
(Rubrics will be set depending on teachers standard)
